am gona buy a car this week and it gona be a prelude just wondering wat the different between a 2001 SH and SE.. and which one would u prefer..thx

Well the SE is the base model and the SH is the next one up. But I would go with the one that is best mechanically sound.

The SH has a few extra standard stuff that isn't available on the SE (e.g. traction control). That and the SH is a little more powerful and makes a touch better mileage since it's mated to a 5-speed stick (The SE gives you an option between stick and auto, while the SH is stick-only).

Since you're talking 5-year old car, the KBB value difference between the two trims is pretty small (less than $1000), which is something you can negotiate away when haggling.

If the two cars were equally well-taken care of, I'd invariably go for the SH. But otherwise, I'd go for whichever is appears to be in better shape mechanically.
