Ps2 component cable on ps3?

From the pics it looks like I could use my ps2 component cables for ps3. Do you think so?

Yes, there should be no problem at all using all your previous PS1 and PS2 AV Cables, such as Composite, S-Video and Component. Which is what I plan to do If I don't have a 1080p TV with HDMI before I get my PS3

I would also make sure that you have very good quality cables so that they'll handle the higher bandwidth and frequencies required for HD resolutions without too much signal loss.

if its the same AV multi out, no worries id say, also as DofD says buy some new good ones.
