Bleh, those damn patents and crap. Those things are nearly untransalatable(Sp?) for the average person. Any person care to point out what part of that horrid thing may be important to the RSX?

Is is a traditionnal GPU ?
What does it tell about RSX ?

Seriously guys, don't take Version quite that seriously when he tells you how sure he is of something. He'll find any old patent, photoshop together a collection of diagrams that makes it into something 16x as large and complicated as the original, and then tell you, "This is how the PS3 works! It is more than 100% true" And in response to anything you might say, he'll utter a random run-on sentence entirely in lower case without tying together any two thoughts.
Anyway, that said... this time, he's right. It IS related to RSX. Unfortunately, saying so is actually pretty trivial. All this really tells us about RSX is that it happens to make use of pipelines derived from nVidia's hardware implementation of Shader Model 3.0. This patent goes back to the NV40 (GeForce 6xxx) series.
