Ok, I downloaded the clip at watched it. The impression I get is that by watching a vid of the game playing on a display there is a lot of graphical quality lost. I think that is a MAJOR problem I am having, because I cannot make the FINE details!

MGS4 and this game are two that I would REALLY like to have a DIRECT full HD clip to watch. Because I do not want to make a judgement without seeing it in full.

I don't know what to think so far. In my mind I am trying to think what it would look like with all the fine details included, but that is just my imagination which I cannot trust to be accurate.

I would say it looks as good as what I have seen so far of MGS4, but I need more data.C'mon MILR..i understand wanting higher quality MGS4 footage but this vid doesn't have the muddy and dark look of the MGS4 trailer. Nice quality cam footage on a nice display. Use your eyes. Its not like it looks worse than what you see in this video...only better. So just judging from this footage...its pretty much CG quality. It doesn't take a direct feed trailer to tell you that. ;)

I have seen it in person and I will tell you now, this game is mind blowing. Even when the camera zooms in and shows that thing climbing up a wall, you can look very closely at the wall and it seems as if every single crack is being rendered. It doesn't even look bump mapped, it's almost like they actually rendered every fine detail in the wall with actual polygons and not shader effects. Even if it was running at 720p, I would still say it is the best looking video game I have EVER seen. But the fact that it is running at twice that res is even more mind blowing. I'm still in awe. The only thing about it is that there was some aliasing there. Jaggies were a lot more apparent in HD than in the cam video, but, this is still very early in development and they have plenty of time to correct that. It's only 20% done. The developer of Motorstorm also told me that the game's visual quality was still going to improve, and it's 50% done. You can hear him say that in the interview I did.

Which would you say is better, War Devil or MGS4? Also, does the guy in War Devil have as detailed a face as Snake in MGS4?

no, but seemingly for a stylistic effect. the faces of the alien creatures were incredible.

I am going to the War Devil site now and downloading the highest quality zipped move file they have. Sadly, they don't offer anything in HD on their site.

What I am mostly interested is their RTE1080 real-time engine that they claim is powerful enough to create real-time graphics that are as realistic as many pre-rendered graphics. The details about this engine is lacking on their site, but hopefully more will be revealed in time. I will go do a web search as well.

Frosty, if this game looks as sharp as you claim I hope they release a HD file very, very soon. And thank you for the updates! I appreciate the efforts of all you guys who went to E3 and have been updating us with all this information. Your efforts are appreciated.

Maybe in this game you could use a feature in which your face could be scanned and put onto the characters head? That way we could have a really high quality realistic face to go along with the rest of this game which looks great, but we really need some HD footage to see it in all it's apparent glory.
