I'm not sure why we get such mixed feelings about Need for Speed. Some folks still seem to enjoy them, while others absolutely hate them. They might not be the most exceptionally terrific racing games available, and we do see a lot of games branded with the NFS name, but they're not that bad and typically score well. There's a heap of inferior racing alternatives out there, after all.

I mean, it could be the hundreth Test Drive game. It could be Group S Challenge, Corvette, or Supercar Street Challenge.

I think it's more a hate for EA as opposed to the NFS series itself, I just don't like EA's "We need to jump on the MTV/shallowness bandwagon so that we can make as much money as possible" attitude.
