He sums up everything that this forum has said in defence of PS3. Also, this is interesting:
Now, this may seem as a joke answer. But the controller has been in developement since 1994.

Yeah, the 1994 notion I heard as well. I seriously doubt that anyone will believe him (mostly the haters, of course). But considering the myriads of controller designs that they showed off way back when, it's entirely possible.

I'm trying really hard to drop the whole controller issue, I really am but feeding me ammo makes it tough.
So they were trying to make this controller with analog sticks and motion sensing back before the N64 was even released? Where do they come off....STOP TYPING.
Angel: Just stop typing. We'll never know the truth anyway.
Demon: Post away. Spread the "truth". Rant and rave till the truth hurts.
Angel: But we don't know the truth and it's not right to misinform others even with good intentions.
Demon: Would you listen to this yutz? How about you stick a halo in it before I smack you with my Wii-mote?
Angel: Well that's not very...*SMACK*
Demon: You may post away.
Sorry guys but he tried.

It probably was in R&D. The technology isnt exactly a new idea (see MS Sidewinder). Its just an up to date application of it. Hell Sony even had a patent for it in 1999, well before Wiiiii ever saw anything like it. People are just being reactionary for the most part, but its E3. Cest la vie.
