Assuming the Wii and PS3 release this fall like they're supposed to, what system(s) do you plan to own?
For me, DS and Wii. I might get a PS3 or 360 if they weren't $500/$400 with (probably) $60+ games, but I can barely afford to keep two systems' game libraries up-to-date as it is.

I own my 360 and DS already, and intend to own a Wii at launch. PSP is of no interest to me, since I already own a PS2 and it costs a lot less, and PS3 isn't a realistic possibility for me in the near future.

That's the idea.

The Wii is going to be about half the price.. and you get so much more out of it. I'm sold. Pretty graphics are great and all, but when you look down the road Nintendo is the system with the most gaming potential. Again, preference is certain franchises play a roll as well, you obviously can't get original FF series, Metal Gear Solid games, Halo and such on the alternative systems. My favourite franchises ( Zelda, Metriod, Mario ) won't be found elsewhere, I was sold before the system every made the news.

Did you not like all the original content shown at E3. Really the psp is finally coming to it's own.

Own a DS already, own a 360 already.
Will be getting a Wii and thats it. Theres a good chance I might be moved out by then and wont have 600$ to spend on a ps3. Not when i'm paying rent and everything.

Wii and DS. Mabey a 360 if Halo 3 is better than any Halo before it. Some FPS's look good on it that aren't on any other platform.

I already own a DS.
I will likely buy the Wii on launch day, provided the lineup is any good.
The 360 will be added at some point, mainly for Halo 3, Splinter Cell, and Gears of War.
I will have the PS3 by November so I can lay hands on my most-anticipated game of 2007: Metal Gear Solid 4, which is when it is likely to be released if we have learned anything about the series.

I will get the Wii at launch, or as soon as possible after that. Hopefully I'll also have a DS by then.
Well, so much for those people accusing GameFAQs voters of being disproportionately Nintendo fanboys. Unless someone wants to claim that E-mpire has more Nintendo fans than Sony fans, which seems unlikely given the usually huge number of viewers in the Sony boards (http://forums.e-mpire.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10).

Well I'm on a fixed budget .
So own a ds lite and a xbox 360
This winter I will buy a Wii .
The extra 400$ I save over the ps3 will go to pay for the games on the xbox 360 and wii that I really want . Ps3 will have to wait till it hits the 400$ price point for the premium system (prob 2 years ) or I might just borrow my cousins to play any of the big games

Better take into consideration the long term costs of LIVE if you plan on playing online.
SOny has greater startup costs, but lower longterm costs.....keep that in mind. :queer:

^And don't forget how much Live has to offer even though it costs $50 a year.

Can't really argue that until we have more info on Sony's FREE online service, and what features it will offer.

I can guarantee Sony's "free" online service will be more like Microsofts Silver/Gold thing, Microsoft has free Xbox Live if you count Silver aswell.
If its like Nintendo WiFi free, that remains to be seen.
I dont trust any video game companies words on business models like that untill they deliver because business can change
I only selected PSP, DS and Wii becuase thats all i know for sure.....
PS3/X360 is going to be a tough decision and i will not buy both of them.

Its 3$ a month or one less morning hot chocolete. with it , I get friends list , block controls , downloadable content , gamer tags , the ability to message friends from any internet enabled computer while they are on live .
It remains to be seen if I get any of this . Also if I get add free gaming .
