I prefer The Simpsons...Family Guy just feels like a chaap rip-off with annoying voice overs.
The new 'The Simpsons' are starting to get into my good books. After you watch them a couple of times, you get used to the...erm, 'new humor'.
anyway, this poll is asking you which one has a bigger place in your heart?
what poll?
South Park > both
but family guy is much much better

What's wrong with you woman?
STICK TO THE POLL!
South Park shall be discussed in another thread...Since they are now too clever for the mainstream viewers and no-one gets their 'deep' cynical jokes so everyone calls it "crap and boring." How ironic...Maybe they should get back to the fart jokes.
why would i want to stick to a poll that has one winner, Family Guy is alot funnier, Simpsons sucks

I would argue but that means I'll have to write a long essay and I don't feel like it so just trust me when I say The Simpsons is better and not only is Family Guy 'less funny' than The Simpsons, Family Guy just sucks.
EDIT: Holy crap, this 'Entertainment' section is dead.

I also vote Simpsons. The were good for at least 7 seasons, got dodgy and started getting good again latley.
FamilyGuy held itself for 1.5 seasons tops.

I agree with Crow...slightly. When SP has a good episode its funny as hell and better than both of them, but their bad episodes arent even tolerable to me.
But sticking to the poll, Simpsons most of the time. I think that one SP episode may have screwed up me from liking Family Guy as much as I used to. That Cartoon Wars two parter, where Family Guy was spoofed. Now it seems I always notice when "that one time...*flash to joke*" happens which seems to annoy the hell out of me now.

Family Guy.
Simpsons is good, but lately I need something a little more obscure in my humour.

Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park,
I love them all.
But I would say The Simpsons holds the most importance to me.

The Simpsons, mainly for the first ten seasons, back when they had stories that had some real endings and not a cheap three-minute finale. Family Guy is great, don't get me wrong, but they've been up and down the last year or so. When they're on, they are great. When they're not, it has some good moments, but the weaknesses start to show.

1) The Simpsons
2) Futurama
3) The Boondocks/South Park
4) Aqua Teen Hunger Force
6) Family Guy
In that order. To me, Family Guy is just lame, random humor. Sure, it's funny on occassion, but that Cartoon Wars ep of SP had it's number.

I love them both but with the rebirth of Family Guy right now it's slightly above the Simpsons for me right now.

Southpark blows.
I voted for Family Guy, but I really hate humor and fun. Maybe I should have voted for the last one.

Family Guy has it's moments. But for the most part... it just sucks.
Some of the most quoteable quotes ever have come from the Simpsons and South Park. Family Guy doesn't have the social commentary and critical humour that tickles my funny bone.
I've been watching the Simpsons for the majority of my life, and while the latest episodes may not be the best, the Simpsons will always have a place in my heart.
As much as I enjoy Family Guy I can only take so much of their "Not related to the storyline what-so-ever humor".;)

Simpsons.
The artists for Family Guy suck at making cartoon versions of celebrities. I always thought the humor was something from a bad comedy movie.

The Simpsons has always been better than Family Guy, and it always will be. The only laughs Family Guy gets is when it parodies something, and that something is usually from the 80's and the reason people like seeing it is because of the nostalgia factor. It also has the most bland animation in the history of animated shows.

I personally think the simpons is one of the most overrated shows on television, during its prime and now.

Simpsons was great, but now we see a huge decline in the areas of what made the system great - humour, storyline, etc. Family Guy is alright, but at times it reaches a peak of stupidity.
On the other hand cartoons like South Park are better but shows like Trailer Park Boys, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and Rick Mercer provides me with better laughs any day. :)

I have not laughed really hard at the Sipmsons for years. And that sucks.
Family Guy has made me laugh my ass off with every new episode. The new one with Stuie coming back in time and Meg turing into a man, that was funny as hell!

I used to watch the first three or four decades of The Simpsons, but haven't seen it since the end of the Cold War. (Just seems like it's been around for a really long time is all I'm saying.)
Seriously, I watched The Simpsons for several years from the first episode on, but haven't seen it for the past several years. I liked it back then, but I can't really imagine what it's like today. (Are they still making new episodes?) The Family Guy, on the other hand, never appealed to me. I just didn't find any humor in the show's "humor". I like the way South Park poked fun at it (Family Guy), and they captured the essence of how I personally remember the show.
In fairness, I haven't seen either in what feels like ages.

I have never gotten the gist of Family Guy, some bits are funny others seems just stupid. So I vote for Simpsons.
