Best Buy Pulls An EA

Apparently, if you go to the best buy website and you put Splinter Cell [The Xbox version ONLY] in your shopping cart it will say your total purchase is only 5 dollars instead 20. And after that if you put any other Platinum Hit titles into your cart they will also only cost 5 bucks! But you must put Splinter Cell in their first.

You don't have to put Splinter Cell first, you just have to put it in there. At first I thought it was just Splinter Cell, so I ordered two copies. Then I read a thread at another forum and said all PH if you have Splinter Cell, so I, uh, ordered 10 more games.

Chances are Best Buy will cancel all the orders, but hey, it's worth a shot.

Yeah its worth a shot because EA honored a lot of peoples orders when they messed up. Although, one guy from IGN boards went to pick up the games at best buy and the manager thought the prices didnt sound right and didnt let him take the games. I wish i had a credit card :(

I doubt it very much, a store can't just advertise a price and then deny someone of a product. I work at Best Buy and whenever an item is mispriced, we have to sell it to them for that price.

Plus, our credit cards have already been charged... whata bitch it'd be to decline ALL those orders.

had something like that happen at best buy and all the orders got rejected

THey did this before with the 10$ Skies of Arcadia (GC) and 10$ Panzer Dragoon Orta (XB), so many people ordered those and they just cancelled most of them.

I am sure all these orders will be cancelled but its worth a try.

why would I get pissed, I took advantage of a situation and it didn't end up 100%, I cannot complain. Yet I will be complaining to them about this. They should not be able to do that due to a purchase was made and a confirmation of the sale was sent to me.
