I am not a big fan of MySpace but with 80+ Million registered users, I think it is a great marketing ploy for any kind of product that wants to make money (i.e: all)

With that thought, I have searched for Playstation on MySpace and came across this:
http://myspace.com/pspfieldcommander

On the first page of search results, there were no other games and there was no Profile for neither the PS1,2 or 3.

I then searched for "Xbox" and it came up with this:
http://www.myspace.com/xbox360

On the first page of search results, there were no other official profiles.

The last of all, I've decided to search "Wii"....Not surprising that nothing official about gaming came up. Although searching "Nintendo" revealed an official 'Nintendogs' Profile.

My take on all of this is that I am surprised neither Sony or Nintendo have ralised the popularity of MySpace. Many half famous musicians, authors say that creating a MySpace Profile has huge positive impact on their career/sales etc.
The official Xbox profile hosts over 67000 'friends' at the time of posting and has nearly 1000 comments. There is also a small forum.
The positives are HUGE and negatives doesn't exist.
Or does it?

I for one, as mentioned at the begining of the post am not a huge fan of MySpace. Over time I have developed an idea of it being for stupid people who have nothing better to do then go around doing phatic talk and collection millions of friends for no reason but to boost their self-esteem or what-ever. And as it is clear from my whole post- It only makes sense for Microsoft's wallet/rep to join MySpace [With Xbox] but in doing so, in one way or another, I lose great respect for the Xbox and question their ideology and intentions with Xbox.

Discuss any part you want from my post.

Consoles on MySpace?
Maybe they'll get sad and crash themselves.

That was so cheap, and not even very funny.
I don't know why I thought it was worth it.

I don't see why they would need to create a MySpace page for their consoles.
I thought that the premise behind MySpace was to give people a chance to express themselves publically and connect with people on an international level, without having to pay for their own webspace.
I'm certain that there are already dedicated websites for each and every console these days.
...

Sorry, I lost interest in my own post.

Myspace is retarded and I now hate Field Commander, Nintendogs and the Xbox 360 with a loathing that can only be satisfied with murder.

I agree Pheonixphire, let them burn in eternal damnation for having been associated with something that only Satan himself could have spawned.
