An unusual new handheld console has been unveiled that will allow gamers to program their own games. The Nanogear, which looks rather like an Xbox controller with a built-in screen, will let you create programs - assuming you're well-versed in BASIC, C/C++ or Assembly Language.
Original programs will be stored in the console's internal memory, though gamers without the relevant programming knowledge will be able to buy games too.
A launch date is yet to be confirmed, though the official site is already claiming that the machine will cost $500 (about £300). With Sony's PSP due out at the end of the year, it looks like handheld gamers are going to be spoilt for choice.
