There has been rumours that Sega is working on the PS3 version of Condemed just like how they are working on the new Full Auto for launch.


That is more than 30 games available for launch which is amazing.

The release date for all these games can easily change and some games maybe won't make it to launch. So I'll edit this list as more info about launch titles is released.

You can cross Splinter Cell off that list. At e3 one of the ubisoft devs showing off the game, when asked about a PS3 version stated "Right now its only going to be on 360, xbox, ps2, and gamecube". I think he said gamecube.

Not a big splinter cell fan. MGS is just more compelling (to me). Anyway, I'm interested in a lot of these games, but I can't buy them all at once, I'm a college student. I just happen to have the luxury of saving a degree of money.

I think ms has payed for both splinter cell and vegas to be timed exlusives as the sony rep ignored my friends question about rainbow six vegas when he asked if it would come out by the end of the year.

Also we were hearing from the ms rep that cod3 might just make it in this december , so i would assume that it prob be a month or so behind on the ps3 (they've had xbox 360 final units for alot longer)

The darkness is not going to hit any platforms this year from what i see

Fatal Inertia has often been confirmed for launch.

FI is much maligned but I'm picking it up. It's a nice wee Wipeout/EP1 Racer clone build around the Unreal 3.0 Engine. Seems like decent fun until the real Wipeout PS3 turns up. Good-oh.

What the company knows and what the employees know are two diffrent things.

We get out lists and info on what to do because sony talks to head guys. They also pay for space in the store .

Gamestops / ebs get payed to have the psp in the front of the store , they get payed to have the xbox 360 in the front of the store.

If they weren't getting payed for the psp and xbox 360, it would not be in the front of the store (As its not a large seller in terms of software for us. Ps2 and xbox used would be in the front)

The stores know alot more than you think . We found out about the 2m launch numbers before the press did .

you could probably add Brothers in Arms 3 and MoH: Airborn and UT06 with them.
what I want to know is when Haze, Frontline, Interstellar Marines and Turok are coming out. those interest me far more than Resistance and WW2 games.

I am not sure, but I do have a theory about it for a while. I think they can cash in and keep the wait a little easier for fans- and for their fiscal year performance- by bumping up GT4 with higherres and a slight general redesign in menues and what not. maybe even an online mode?

the real GT isn't expected till at least late 2007. I started hating their GT4 polished up games for PS3. I want to see the real thing.

I thought the E3 demo was just a tech demo and I heard that they made it in only 2 weeks. I doubt they will actually turn it into a game especially after all the reactions to it.

I have a feeling it will be a free/cheap "tech demo" for PS3.

But judging from the E3 vid, it's not going to be exciting, as a sacrifice for a high resolution, the cars travel at the speed of a snail and they had to turn off the dust in the rally course.

GT lost slight respect in my prospective for even bothering to show such thing but as I've said, it was just KK proving to people the look of the high res (sorry, keep forgetting the actual res).

That's the only minus point for Sony this gen- They have to actually prove every aspect of the PS3 as most people simply can't see why it's worth $600.

Sorry if this has been gone over before, but is Lair a launch title, and if it isn't, what is its projected release date? Lair is one of the sexiest looking games that have been shown for any system so far in my mind. What kind of person doesn't want to fly a dragon around and shoot fire with it! It's the ultimate game! Lol ok I was just messing around with that last sentence, who knows how well it will play. But I still say its ultimate in that it let's you kick people's ass with a firebreathing dragon!

I'll say it again this whole 1080p GT4 thing is a terrible idea. They're making a game for a TV nobody has, there are many sacrifices for GT in 1080p and no rewards. I'd like a 720p GT5 instead please.

true. that is a problem that some are having with the it. the series need to focus more on core aspects on top of icing on the cake. I want some physics at least- and not the 'rubber car' bumbing joke'. where is the online mode? more players per race?
even crash effects will make the experience that more enjoyable.

but still, business is business. if you can make a lot of profits during the wait for the next majotr title, why not take advantage of that?
