i dont like the top screenshot, thats just way too much exposure. Unless he just came out of a cave, it doesnt make sense. Just another case of development using technology the wrong way.

Or maybe the character was looking towards its feet and suddenly tilted head towards the sun axis of the game. LOL

But what you say makes sense as well. The developers are using HDR as they please since it IS the new shabang these days. They'd apply it anywhere even if it means using it at the most odd situations/places. :XD:

Remember, this is the core team from Goldeneye/Perfect Dark (the good ones) and the developer behind Timesplitters and Second Sight (which I thought was rather awesome) -- great things are in store for this title IMO, and these pics raised my expectations too :)
