GBA - 2.5 million
PS2 - 1.8 million
GCN - 1.1 million
XBX - 991,000

Now these are from "Nintendo of America estimates" so not sure if they are correct. If its true or close, then it's interesting. I definitly thought Nintendo would 'reverse' December 2002 this year (outsell Xbox by a huge amount), I guess that didn't happen. Sony says they sold over 2 million PS2's though and the NoA estimate has them at 1.8 million so who knows.

Nintendo would have sold a bit more but retailers ran out of stock. I've seen WalMarts and EB's here with No GC's and several box's and Ps2's

Nintendo sells one million in a week and it takes them a year to do it in Japan, the difference is amazing

Notedog, that is a million in a month. December. But yeah, it is a big difference. GC sold 160,000 in a week in Japan recently though so it is catching up in pace.

IGNcube: Microsoft reps said that sales of Xbox beat out GameCube during the last two weeks of December. What is your response?

Perrin: Probably two things. First, I'm not sure if that period is relevant when we have already won the year. And second, because we were selling so much so fast we have seen some retail outlets start to have dry shelves and that's probably why that happened.

My mom works part time at a walmart and the electronics department was out within 2 days of shipments.

Starting to work on that other leg already.

Yep, that's what I figured (http://www.nintendonow.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15777)

Your mom works part time. You have no idea what they do or don't have in the back.

Thank you, try again.

What is wrong with you man? She works stock. Of course she would know what they have in the back. Go look through some past threads, I already pointed this out once about this.
Nintendo even said it.

Phanty why are you trying? What are you trying to prove? We all know that Xbox is loosing because it sucks, theres no way you can win this one.

Really? Is that why it's still ahead in the US? Your post is full of excellent points.

No, it still has a healthy lead. Nintendo loves to make-up numbers, such as holiday sales in Europe for 2002.

World wide Xbox is loosing, and your missing the point, Xbox isn't going up, Gamecube is skyrocketing. Now heres the truth and yes, it'll hurt. Your continuously avoiding the fact that in current sales gamecube is winning, and in a short few months, Gamecube will be winning in the US to, just like it's doing world wide right now.

How many times have we had these arguments on worldwide sales and blah ... its already obvious that Nintendo is in the lead in worldwide sales.

So people ... just quit arguging before we get 10 pages worth of back and forth crap.

Because its the truth, and theres no reason to argue about it.

Yes and I agree with you entirely but I don't think saying that GC is beating Xbox will keep Phanty and other X boys from arguing.

Why do you people even care?

because having their system in the #2 spot somehow immediatly enhances their gaming experience...
thats the only bs i could think of.
