what games are you currently playing or trying to beat?


I just started playing Kingdom Hearts 2 today for about 15 minutes...

while I play that I'm STILL trying to get past the 8th challenge in Challenge of the Gods in God of War:swear:

Banged through PGR3 last night. Dull as dish water, glad it's out of the way. One more cone challenge and I'd freak.

Playing Final Fantasy 2 on my DS Lite, nice and untaxing.

Playing Ace Combat 5,terriffic game,can't imagine what AC will look like on PS3.

Playing Kingdom Hearts as well oddly enough, doing the Tarzan mission. All that disney crap is getting on my nerves, can't see me playing another Kingdom Hearts. Square > Disney round my house.

Might play some of the excellent GRAW on 360 today too. Kinda saving it as once it's done I'm all out of good single player next gen games until the end of the year.

Well today I went to that buy 2 get 1 free sale at eb. Got me 3 games;

Half Life 2 (xbx)
Matrix: Path of Neo (xbx)
God of War

Got all of those for 35$. Pretty good deal if you ask me. Right now i'm mostly just playing half life 2 and matrix. Half life 2 is a good game though, can't believe I didn't get it earlier. Matrix is also a really good game, really suprised me after enter the matrix sucked so bad. I like the combat there are alot of nice moves you can pull off, very deep combat system.

the first Kingdom Hearts got on my nerves more for the camera than the Disney part, but I got used to both and it turned out to be a great game

God of War is badass, I love action games like DMC and Ninja Gaiden and it is easily my favorite.

Once I beat the damn Challenge of the Gods I'm gonna attempt God Mode

God Of War- I dunno why but I only play it like twice every forthnight. I'm sure I will play mroe once the exams are done.
Gran Turismo 4- I see this game as a relxing game and I mostly play Arcade with the AI 'level' set on 1.
Counter Strike: Source- This is just a fun/great experience overall. Even when I don't feel like doing anything at all, opening CS: S draws me in.
GTA: LCS (PSP)- GTA was never able to "draw me in" but the story is keeping me interested...Just.
Star Wars: KOTR- Oldie but a goldie as they say.
Shadow Of The Collossus- I will continue to play this once I find the CD! First game I have ever lost :( I'm sure I've just mis-placed it. I haven't reeally looked for it yet.

I don't do gaming as much as I used to though which is a great shame but I'm hoping the summer holidays will fix that.

After a few months of playing The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, I decided it was time to finish the main quest and move on to something else. That's been perhaps a couple weeks back and during the past couple of weeks I've piddled around in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City off and on (I only recently bought it since the first GTA game I ever personally played was San Andreas). I also finished and moved away from New Super Mario Bros. shortly after Oblivion, I believe. If Wal-Mart will have Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (PS2 version) in tomorrow, I'll start into that.

I just recently completed Metal Gear Solid : The Twin Snakes on the Gamecube not so long ago, ah, such a great game. I still feel that the original MGS on the Playstation is the better version, but TTS still packs an awesome punch (Minus those awful Matrix style cutscenes)!

It's just sooo shit, but if I finish it I can sell it! One lonely dragon fights with bad collision detection and terrible frame rates.

New Super Mario Bros - Ds Lite
Still rules, on world 8 in sight of the last castle. Getting a bit tricky now. A keepie, like to do back and get all the hidden stuff. So far NSMB is my game of the year, beating Kameo.

Final Fantasy II - GBA/DS Lite
The NES version was terriffic, it was all about old guys sacrificing themselves for their daughter and knights with low self esteem on a flippin' NES. The GBA version tarts the game up a lot, but they seem to have made it a bit easy.

Gonna finish those, then play some more trash so I can sell it. :)

I've been playing an unhealthy amount of Championship Manager for the PSP. While it's a fantastically addictive game, I just hate its inconsistencies and it drives me potty. Perhaps I'm just not a good manager! ;)

I'm about 20 hours into Kingdom Hearts 2 and so far its a good game, I dunno if I could call it great until I beat it. The camera is much better in this game and the gummi ship parts have improved even though I still don't see why they need to be in the game at all. The game is a lot easier than I thought it would be because Kingdom Hearts could get pretty tough at parts...I've been doing all the minigames and missions the past few days so I don't finish the game too soon cause I don't have much else to play right now

DMC3 is harder than Ninja Gaiden, it's crazy.

Really, what a terrible game Spryo Enter the Dragon was. Terrible frame rate, damaged collision detection, terrible, terrible loading times, dated level design. Gamespot gave it 2.8/10. And I... have finished it. Wooo!

Cool on PS1 though.

DMC 3 is just plain EVIL...I had to beat it on the easy mode and now I hate myself...haven't tried it on normal since I first got the game, don't feel like getting killed repeatedly by that cerberus boss

Still playing Transformers on PS2. It's terrific, it's like they've taken one of these dodgy crappy Gundam games Bandai make, then put a greal graphics and combat engine on it, which would have been enough... Then they tack Carmageddon on the side. Just wasted that aircraft carrier transformer dude.

Really awesome, solves the problem a lot of mech games have in that they're so slow and plodding. Real lost PS2 classic.

Picked up Rayman 3 other day, finished it earlier today and I started the Increadible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.

Rayman was good, but a tad short and Hulk is awsome. You can run around and kill ANYTHING in your way. Sounds kinda dumb, but it's a blast.

Wild Arms 3 is suprisingly good. Kinda an early cell shaded rootin' tootin' RPG with guns.

I just beat Super Metroid yesterday. So I went to blockbuster/gamerush, they were having a clearence sale. Picked up

Metroid Prime 2 brand new 5.00
Project Snowblind brand new 2.50 (ps2)
and Feel the Magic brand new 5.00 (it's a pretty good game, i am suprised at how fun it is)

Those games will be occupying my time until chromehounds, unless I get like tetris ds or something.

Bought an N64 for a few dollars. :)

Playing GoldenEye. Damn that's blurry. Extreme autoaim and being able to kill people by shooting them in the elbow is excellent. :) The N64 controller is so weird now though, firing with the button under the controller is really weird. But it's cool, you can shoot people on the toilet, just wiggle the analogue stick around and mow down a room full of identical solders... I miss that. :)

On the PC I am playing Oblivion along with two games I just decided to DL and play with; Rise of Legends and Black & White 2 with Battle of the Gods Expansion. I actually want to start playing SW Empire at War again, Gallactic Civilizations 2, and KotOR 2 to refresh on some old games that need to be touched again.

On the 360, I just got Live gold, so I am playing PDZ, H2, and just grabbed SWBF2 (price drop to $20) to play online.

Playing Loco Roco, the perfect game for kids and heavily medicated adults. Don't think you can play it for more than 90 minutes without going crazy though. Very decent though, whole game just runs with three buttons like an old Sonic game. Terriffic. Awful lot of replay value in the game. Must buy I think.

Also playing more retro. Darius Gaiden and Shin Shinobi Den on Saturn, and the usual RPG.

I'm backed up on games at the moment. I just finished MGS 3 Subsistence. I rented that from gamefly but I've had it over a week so I'm sending it back and waiting to buy it before totally killing it. I love the game though it has an amazing story and I now can understand the MGS series and I love it. Hoopla for Ocelot....ok I'm also trying to play NBA Street V3 and EyeToy: AntiGrav but I've been to busy trying to finish Race Driver 2006 as fast as I can before I have it to long. I don't want to kill it yet because I plan on buying it when the price drops...a lot...it's a great game I'd label it Gran Turismo Lite. Next I'm planning on FINALLY buying Guitar Hero in a few days and trading in my old DS for a DS Lite. Those 3 games should keep me busy for awhile. I'm also playing SWAT 4 on the PC along with SiN Episodes: Emergence and Half-Life 2. DAMN! HL2 is freaking AMAZING. The story is incredible and thanks to the HL2 engine it feels like you're really in the game.

Let's see, playing some Prey on that ol' 360. It's OK, it's not in your face intense like a Call of Duty or whetever so it feels slightly flat, but hey, I got it really cheap!

Mostly playing Vice City on 360 backwards compat. Never finished it so I'm working on finishing it now. Really good, best of the series. San Andreas they seemed to crank up the gameplay but crank down the graphics, Vice City looks real smooth.

That's not so much a fact as much a matter of personal preference. There's roughly a thousand reasons why San Andreas one-ups Vice City, but basically summed up by 1) bigger, 2) deeper, 3) and better.

San Andreas was unarguable several times larger than any other game in the series. San Andreas had more stuff worked into the game than any other to date, with more variety of things to do. San Andreas controlled several times better than any other game in the series thus far. I hated how in Vice City the right analog stick pulled me into a first-person view, instead much preferring the third-person camera control as seen in San Andreas and, most recently, Liberty City Stories. I couldn't target people when using melee weapons to save my life, which isn't a big deal but still inferior to being able to target in San Andreas. In San Andreas, I could crouch, roll, and sneak around, but couldn't in the other titles. Little things like that add up to make for a huge leap above Vice City.

Sure, San Andreas didn't have the drugs and the rampages, but it had plenty of other features not found in the other games, like a more detailed wardrobe system whereby I can mix and match combinations of countless articles of clothing. I could change my hair styles, get tatoos, and even change CJ's body build, making him fatter or thinner, stronger or wimpier, and so on. I could pimp cars with hydraulics, rims, paint jobs, and nitrous in San Andreas. I could engage in territorial warfare, at least during part of San Andreas, which entertained me for a while as I went around taking over the city from rival gangs. I could even blow cars up by shooting their friggin' gas caps (even though that isn't realistic). Stuff like this just made San Andreas richer and deeper.

Then there's CJ's character, which seemed much more like a fleshed out person than a lifeless automaton like the characters seen in the other GTA titles. I didn't care for the setting of Vice City, either. Again, that's a personal preference thing, but Vice City was just too... sunshiny. It just didn't feel right for me.

I know a lot of folks hold either GTA III or Vice City more deerly and can even argue their reasons why they think it's the best, and that's fine since it's all just personal preference, but there's plenty of wonderful reasons why San Andreas is the best in the series so far, too, and there are indeed lots of people that hold San Andreas to be the number one GTA title. For a modest example of seeing San Andreas nudge out the other GTA games, a while back X-Play devoted a few episodes to counting down their picks for the top ten games of the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube, and they selected San Andreas as the number one PS2 game (rather than Vice City or GTA III).

Well longer and deeper isn't always better. I measure how good a game it was by how much fun it was, and I had more fun playing Vice City than playing San Andreas. Laughing my ass off hunting down the old guy in a golf cart and the rest of it, singing along to incredibly bad 80s music. Short and sweet is always better than incredibly drawn out and boring.

Being very clever and up their own arse with game mechanics often makes for a very boring game. Frankly in Vice City, I now own my own strip club, talk about video games letting you live out your dreams. :)

To me Guitar Hero is a better game than Splinter Cell, because Guitar Hero is fun, and Splinter Cell... isn't.

Every I say is in my opinion!

Love me some Oblivion, but stopped playing that for a while, until I beat ChromeHounds on story mode. I want to beat both in the near future.
Just got XboxLive, playing the shit out of Halo 2. Tried ChromeHounds on Live, but I'm not too good.
Anyways, got an old copy of Pokemon Snap, and me and my brother beat that in a day. Haven't beat all the challenge scores, though.

Still going to play God of War sometime, not sure when.

Wild Arms 3 has officially bored the arse off me. It's a big chore.

Starting playing Jak 3, it is no chore, it's a riot. As the Halo types would say, it's time to finish the fight. So many different game types all packed into one game, a masterpiece.

And playing Flicky on a Sega Saturn, from Sega Ages Vol. 1. You catch birds on a bubble bobble style game, you try to get to the exit, foxes steal your birds, you swear at the foxes.

I could play it all day. :)

Went down the games shop in around the first time in 3 months, it's really scraping the bottom of the barrel games at the moment new release wise so I don't go very often.

The manager there and I have a kind of crack dealer / addict relationship. Should have seen this guys face when I reappeared after 3 months... So... You're back... Crack not good enough for you...

Picked up DOA4 cheap. Nice backgrounds, not so great character models, improved gameplay... It's not too bad actually.

And got Event Rising, big flawed diamond. With a bit more debugging could have been a real AAA title. Sound track alone is worth your purchase. If you're Mr Frame Rate whore forget about it. I really like it though. I'd like Mass Effect to be this minus sucky glitchy ugliness.

And got XIII very cheap, actually quite good fun, like a PG Killer 7 for conservatives. :) Nice and untaxing... Looks very good on 360. Cell shaded games seem to date less.

Of the three I like XIII the most. Good fun.

So now im trying desperately to get to the top of the temple in Shadow of the Colossus. I just bought a DS and beat New Super Mario Brothers. Needless to say, it rocked.

So today i went and looked for another game, and i was going to buy Advance Wars DS, but then i saw it. Gunstar Super Heros, and the nostalgia forced me to buy it, and at 20 bucks, i wasnt complaining too much. So I am playing that right now, its fucking aweasome but its kicking my ass, just the way i remember it.

Playing Doom on 360 XB Live Arcade. Not worth the points I paid for it as it's pretty much a free game at this point, but rather awesome fun still.

Control on the 360 pad is 100% perfect, it's coded for Dolby Digital Surround and hearing shots behind you on your back speakers is great. Imp firewalls start on the front speaker, hit behind your head. Kewl. :)

Very groovy. Very decent level design in Doom, had a lot less to work with but made great use of it. Shame I remember where all the suprises and traps are though.

Great fun, I could go for Duke Nukem 3D on 360 too.

The games story is very good and I loved how the battle between Galbadia Garden and (is it) balamb garden battled and you seen all kinds of shooting and magic being thrown. It was insane chaos on their ship. I loved every second of it.

Might go play Warcraft 3 again after this, why play the clone when you can play the original. But haven't played an RTS in possibly... years...

Playing Yakuza, it's a bit crap but reminds me of my trip to Japan so I'm enjoying it. You can walk into Club Sega, Japanese Bakeries, Sushi joints, all 100% authentic,stuff like that. It's a trip to Tokyo without the air fare. Frequent loading times, bit repetitive though, so, a bit crap. GTA with Yakuza it ain't, it's kinda more Final Fight with Yakuza. Banging through it at a fair old rate so I'll probably be done in a couple of days.

But the dating sim is kinda fun. :)

I'm playing Unreal II: The Awakening and I'll be playing Tony Hawk's Project 8 here in a few days. COD3 should be in the mail from Gamefly any time soon! Almost done with Ace Combat! I love that game. Still playing GH2 and probably will until GH3 comes out!

I finally started playing Diablo II and I gotta say it's really addictive but why no block button!!! I don't understand this! Why can't you block!! You just mash away on the mouse button then run away and heal and repeat...is there a block button?

Your character automatically blocks if you have a shield. sometimes there is no animation for it though, but if there is an animation it should make a clank sound and you wont be able to move until your char is done blocking. you probably wont even notice when you block.

After that, I am FINALLY purchasing Guitar Hero 2 and just gonna play that for a few months.

While my home console needs are being fed by Guitar Hero 2 and occasional GT4, my hand-held needs will be filled with MGS: Portable Ops on of course, the PSP.

Playing Okami, very pretty but the muppetty talk kinda gets on your nerves, think I know why it didn't sell that great. :) Terriffic art house video gaming though. Not quite into it yet.

You know the way the frogs'n'foxes and stuff talked in star fox on the SNES? They talk like that in Okami, only in Japanese.

And Lemmings on PS3. BEST FREAKING PUZZLE GAME EVER! It's a Lemmings 2 really, lots of new ideas not in the original Lemmings. Weeks of fun for only 6 dollars, this is the future....!

Been playing lots of Motorstorm PS3, for 3 days straight in fact. Thumb very tired. Going to knock it off for a while. Very good.

Got Psychonauts and Fahrenheit on the new 360 compatible list very cheap. Lovely jubbly. Psychonauts looks pretty crap compared to the PC version so not sure I'll be playing that.

My real copy of FF12 turned up, I've restarted that, put away the *cough* downloaded version.

And I'll play Genji 2 to the end. I know it's crap but it's pretty crap! :)

Well since I got my 360 for Christmas I've just been playing that. I've, surprisingly, been playing Guitar Hero II here and there in little short bursts. I'm playing Gears of War and I'm still not through the campaign yet but I think I'm going to play it maybe 3-4 more times through. I'm also playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and I'll be starting Burnout Revenge soon (traded the PS2 version in for the 360 version since it was only $20), I'm also playing Doom 3 for Xbox and I'll be playing Ninja Gaiden: Black when it comes in the mail (got it on eBay because I can't find it anywhere). I'll also be playing Tony Hawk's Project 8 from Gamefly probably tomorrow! It's all hella fun except I still don't have Xbox Live Gold yet. I beat Prey about a week ago and I gotta say for a game being in development for 10 years you think it would have been better. It was really interesting I loved the story but the gameplay was just so straight forward and easy. Plus it really did make me feel so sick after awhile from all the room flipping and rotating. I also got half way through Rainbow Six Vegas, rented it from Gamefly, and I love the new easier and more run & gun style. I also got Okami for my birthday on the 22nd and now that I have a next gen console it's really hard to go back and play a last gen game. I'm about 25% through and it's probably the best adventure game on the PS2 ever. I think the last PS2 game I'm ever going to play, and buy, is God of War II then I'm done.

I am using the firmware 3.02 OE-B.

In doing so I rip my PSX collection to ISO format. Then convert it to eboot. Transfer to PSP and load. Works with every game I tested.

Dunno man I don't have an XBL Gold account yet (got my 360 for Xmas), but I'll let you know as soon as I play it online. Right now I just rented Call of Duty 3 for 360 and Dead or Alive Xtreme 2 for 360. I played COD3 for PS2 but I wanted to experience it with all the next-gennyness and it's really good! I'm also playing Ninja Gaiden: Black (finally got it in the mail yesterday) and I'm cruising right along with Ghost Recon. I just finished Doom 3 and I gotta say it was freaking annoying as ever! I just wanted it to end but not that the game was bad it was great! I just felt it was waayy to long or they could have given me some more story. I still haven't even touched Burnout yet and I'm starting GoW on Hardcore, and I played THP8 to death. It's REALLY good and it IS next-gen it just seemed really small to me (the world).
