what up everybody. i aint been here in a while. its been a long and rough month or so away form everyone. lol. but i'm not gonna be here alot anymore as you could prolly see. but i need to know what's been happening since around e3.

i barely got to see the halo3 trailer. so i want to know what news has been going on since e3.

That's a good call the video archive should get you hyped for the PS3.

i've been living without a computer since about a week before e3. that's the price for movin on ya own. lol.

i know about the price. i told everyone that the price wouldn't be 399 like everyone had hoped. lol. it seems i was very right.

and what about those e3 dvd's. what happened wit them. did they go out yet?

E3 came along and we were able to see a 15 minute trailer of MGS4 which was awsome according to those that were there. We have yet to find a 720P version of the trailer so we really don't know how well it compares to the trailer from the Tokoyo Game Show. Although from the screen shots it appears be be very similiar in quality, but we really need the 720P clip.

Several other games were demoed at E3 for the PS3. My personal opinion is that none of them came close to MGS4. Resident Evil 5 and Killzone were no where to be found.

At E3 Sony mysteriously deleted the specifications of both the Cell chip and the RSX GPU from their specification sheet. This has created a good bit of controversy and many hope it is a good sign, but at the same time fear it could be a bad sign. Others find no significance in it at all. My personal opinion is that something fishy is going on and we are going to see more than minor changes in the RSX and Cell.

Also, it has been revealed the PS3 wimpy version will cost $499 and the good version $599. This has caused more controversy.

Another thing to note is that a HDD will come standard with the PS3. 20GB for the $499 model and 60GB for the $599 model. In addition, it has been leaked that the PS3 will utilize some ammount of Flash memory. The utility and benefits of this are still unknown for the most part. It is claimed that the Flash memory will hold the OS, but to me that is pretty much useless if the OS still is going to take up 96MB of system memory. It seems like another useless expense to me.

There are also more discussions about Blu-ray and other technical issues of the PS3 and also how it compares to the 360. Even though I have participated in them just like many, many others I realize I have participated in a futile debate, because until the final specifications come out such discussions may be fun and interesting, but are really useless.

The dual shock 3 will have no rumble feature, but will have six degrees of tilt and rotation.

My personal preference would be to keep the rumble feature, because I don't think I would use the tilt feature.

Mitri, you missed the big controversy over Ninty saying that Sony stole that feature from their controller.

i think that the people aren't going to take to the controller without rumble too well. maybe this is a ploy to sell the extra controllers or a v2 of the controller with rumble. i can't imagine madden with no rumble.

i heard some of the debate between the higher ups of both companies. ninty saying that they were honored or something like that because they were being copied. and sony were saying that they didn't copy and that had this in a patent or something like that. and Ms saying something like they did that a while ago at the begining of the xbox and it didn't work too well. or something like that.

Then word spread that Sony dropped the rumble to add this feature and everyone was like "ZOMG WTF BBQ HAX!"
Then MS came out and said, "PS3 is mad hax expensive, you can get teh Wii and teh 360 for teh same price! HAX!"
Everyone just kept bitching and like 87 price, rumble, and PS3 sucks threads popped up.
Then everyone started arguing, MILR was pissed about plastic looking people, Wounding found his real mother and spent some time with her instead of us (or something like that) and a new member popped up called GLJVD.
The plague spread quickly and every thread turned into "but but teh Cell pwnzors teh 360!" then JVD would say "but but teh 360 has teh mega 1 year advantage and is gonna sell a billion consoles before Sony even launces, PS3 is teh NOOB!"
Then Cliffbo came up with his "HAX card system" in an attempt to solve all of these problems.
Anyway thats basically what has happened since E3... Maybe slightly exagerated of course. :wave:
