I just want to say publically that I really appreciate CPIASMINC and how he is so willing to answer questions, explain so many concepts, and tolerate nOObs like me who probably frustrate him like crazy.

In addition to being a great member of our community in general he has went above and beyond by being willing th share his knowledge of computing, console programming, game consoles, GPUs, CPUs, and several other areas as well. As an example, he does not have to share any information with us at all, but within the bounds of what is allowed he actually tells us quite a lot when many other developers would not bother.

Basically, after working hard for many hours with little pay this guy is willing to come on here, listen to our rants, read our questions, give us answers, and take the time to explain advanced concepts in ways some of us who are technical numb-skulls can actually understand.

I believe that all of us should use this thread to say THANK YOU to CPIASMINC for being a supurb member of E-MPIRE!

Thanks CPIASMINC for all you do!

And don't forget to REP the man!

CPI, the feedback you provide regarding technical issue is invaluable, but the developer stories were priceless...

I don't want this to get too sappy, but I enjoy all members of the forum and discussing and sometimes debating the videogaming industy. Peace

Agreed....... but knowing CPi I don't think he cares about a thread dedicated to him, he's like the NYPD/NYFD they don't think of themselves as heros. It's just part of the job....

I agree. He is a very nice guy. He is always responding to questions. That is very kool. And the fact that is is so freaking smart! I learn a lot of how stuff works from him. At least from what I can understand!

Peace....

PS, I like his idea od TES. Very good. He pops fanboy heads like a pin on a balloon!

I hope we all share the same enthusiasm for CPI as the mudders of Canton had for the man they call Jayne!

(This song provided me with the most joy and hardest longest laugh I had in a very long time. It came from the fantastic show Firefly. Cpiasminc is a great person and since this forum has been kind of "tense" lately, I hope all of you can enjoy this song and enjoy this thread as we say thanks to the man they call Cpiasminc!)

The Man they call Jayne!

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the man
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Canton
the man they call Jayne.

Our Jayne saw the mudders' backs breakin'.
He saw the mudders' lament.
And he saw the Magistrate takin'
every dollar and leavin' five cents.
So he said: "You can't do that to my people."
said "You can't crush them under your heel."
So Jayne strapped on his hat
and in 5 seconds flat
stole everythin' Boss Higgins had to steal.

Oh, He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the man
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Canton
the man they call Jayne.

Now here is what separates heroes
from common folk like you and I.
The man they call Jayne
he turned 'round his plane
and let that money hit sky.

He dropped it onto our houses
he dropped it into our yards.
The man they called Jayne
he stole away our pain
and headed out for the stars!

(Here we go!)

He robbed from the rich
and he gave to the poor.
Stood up to the man
and he gave him what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of Canton
the man they call Jayne...

And now, here is my slightly altered version in honor of Cpiasminc! You are the man!

The Man they call CPIASMINC!

Oh, He programmed for the rich,
and he gave knowledge to the poor,
Stood up the the consoles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of E-mpire
the man they call Cpiasminc.

Our Cpiasminc saw the posters' fingers breaking'.
He saw our poor brains a smoking.
And he saw the console makers takin'
every point of IQ and leaving smelly stir fried goo!
So he said: "You can't do that to their brains."
said "You can't confuse them with your code."
So Jayne logged onto his account
and in 10 seconds flat
explained all he could to the posters'
even provided explanations for the lurkers'
he saved us from the code and gave us all
the info he could, which was a great deal,
so our brain cells the code could no longer steal!

Oh, He took the essence of the consoles
explained the details to us once more
Stood up to the consoles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of E-mpire
the man they call Cpiasminc.

Now here is what seperates heroic game developers
from common gamers like you and I.
The man they call Cpiasminc
he turned to his browser
logged onto these forums
and let his wisdom reach us all!

And let that wisdom hit these very forums
He wired it directly into our houses
He dropped it into our very yards
The man they call Cpiasminc
He took away our ignorance
And headed out back against
the consoles to give them what for
yet once more!

(Here we go!)

Oh, He programmed for the rich,
and he gave knowledge to the poor,
Stood up the the consoles
and he gave them what for.
Our love for him now
ain't hard to explain.
The hero of E-mpire
the man they call Cpiasminc.

Now, for something to help relax all of us something cute and cuddly beyond imagination. Something so sweet and pretty that all the negativity can vanish into nothingness and we can enjoy our community and especially appreciate everything Cpiasminc does for us!

Porcupine Babies! You can't get anything cuter than this and personally it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling!

Ummm... that and whatever else people might think of me, I'm a pretty terrible human being. I think if people followed after me, the world wouldn't have any happy people left. The idea of someone like me having fanboys is somewhat sad... now if I had *fangirls*, I might be a little more interested... ;)

Cpiasminc is a great person and since this forum has been kind of "tense" lately
Fair enough to say that I've been tense, too. Working 11 hours a day collaborating with people overseas who dodge around every point you bring up can do that.

And please, some others stories, they are priceless ;-)
There is no greater humor than the pain of others. I lived in a sitcom for a while, and well, there you go.

I missed out on some of these stories from Cpi

Come on now... there has to be at least one FANGIRL of Cpiasminc that will come out and at least say hello to the man! I mean, for goodness sakes, here is a brilliant, hard working, and thoughtful man. Is he single? I don't know, but at least some ladies on this forum could show him some *respectful* admiration!

I have no interest in marrying CPI because I quite honestly prefer the female of our species (and of course the females of similar humanoid species such as some of those seen on Star Trek).

I just think CPI has answered tons and tons of questions and deserves a round of thanks.

Indeed, thank you Cpiasminc. I know I have learned a lot from your contributions to this forum and really appreciate the time you take to clarify certain things and answer our questions. You sir have earned my grattitude and so I thank you and hope you continue to be a wonderful teacher here at PSINext.

Unless you are in fact, not male, and you are, in actuality, the woman partially pictured in your avatar... I'll have to decline.

For the record, though, I never said framerate isn't important. I simply said it's not the single most important thing about a game, and that the world wouldn't come to an end should a game run at 30 fps.

It's the appreciation thread that never ends, it goes on and on my friends. Someone started it to show their appreciation to CPIASMINC not knowing how many people appreciated him, and now it will go on forever just because it is the appreciation thread for CPIASMINC that doesn't end, it goes on and on my friend, some people wanted to show their appreciation for CPIASMINC and they kept the thread going just because it is the appreciation thread and doesn't end, it goes on and on my friend.....

CPI, I think you need to realize what a great service you do for these forums. You provide a tremendous ammount of information and answer lots and lots of questions. We are NOT trying to worship you, but simply say THANKS and have a little fun at the same time!
