I am sad to say that Goldust has officialy been released from the WWE.

Did you find out why he was released?

EDIT: Just found some info.

It appears as if Goldust was released by WWE because creative was unable to come up with a productive angle for him. However, he did pull a no show at RAW this Monday, which drew a considerable amount of heat and could have influenced the decision.

Aww :( I love goldust, especially when he was paired with booker T several years ago.

Yeah too bad about poor goldy. I was starting to like his gimmic with Gene. It had promise. I just hope he doesnt go back to TNA, that last run was weak.

he was okay i suppose for a laugh...they need to get rid of some wrestlers to make way for new ones in ECW, they're really short of like another 15 wrestlers or so

We still have CM Punk to look foward to in ECW. There are plenty of great indy guys to choose from too. I dont think they should have given goldy the axe though. WWE needs tag teams badly.

I think ECW needs Paul London personally. Him and Spanky both would be great additions.

i think they should use Nova/Simon Dean in ECW too

Simon Dean is pretty pointless on Smackdown but would do alot better on ECW

Dustin Rhoads could have been a BIG NAME in wrestling if he had not gotten type cast as Golddust! Back in the day when television was at least "slightly" more tame the idea of a wierdo like Golddust could get ratings. Now, there is nothing "unique" about the idea and it's getting old.

I would like to see Dusty Rhoads come to the WWE to commentate a match and have someone like Triple H somewhat accidentally slam into him and as a gimmic seriously injure him. This would make Dusty Rhoads abandon the Golddust theme and come back as himself to take vengence.

Also, Dusty Rhoads needs to get into better shape for the come back. If this was written correctly I think he could be a big name in wrestling.
