Color of your Wii!

What color will you be getting? Im partial to green myself, though I wish the one they are offering was a little darker. Still the best color IMO. But as I sit here and look at my GCN, XBOX, and N64 sitting there in their black glory, I wonder if I should keep with the decor and go black? I just hope they keep the options open unlike how they did with the gamecube. Remember all those colors they showed off before launch? And then we got stuck with black and purple? Anyways Im gonna stop ranting and go to bed now cause its like 4:30, g'night.

To be honest with you I'm not that sure, do we know what colours are confirmed? Perhaps they'll only release White and Black at the start and then release more colours afterwards. If that's the case I can't see myself holding out for the Red, or the Green for that matter, and just plump myself with a White! ;)

If the Wii was to be available in a royal blue sort of color, I'd quite possibly get it. After that I might have to go with black. The color doesn't really matter to me, though. I'd pick one up if the only color was hot pink.

Black. It must all be black. That's why I haven't bought a DS Lite, because the Black version hasn't come out in Canada. Getting a Black Wii with a Black Wiimote. Then I'll spray paint the games black. Everything will be black.

But I want a system that can have it's cover changed like a cell phone!

I know, that propably will not be a very succesful feature on a console, but they should have made that possible with their handhelds atleast, it's so annoying to have to wait several months after launch to get the color you want... (grrr) With a change-able cover I could buy the system on launch and later the get the color\design I wanted.

Hell yeah, another person who wants a darker green. That cover idea is pretty cool too. Like the 360 only in solid colors so you could just switch them out whenever you wanted a change.

Xbox 360 (you're right, not too successful for a feature) and the Game Boy Micro.Oh, I forgot Game Boy Micro! I've been away from the gaming marked too long, ever since I went offline I have only heard about the big stuff, no details, but I catch up soon I hope, lol.

Oh well, I kinda hope the Xbox 360's cover-changing feature proves to be somewhat popular eventually, but I have doubts, a console is not something you may carry around in public, making a change-able cover for a console relatively pointless.

My point is that there is no way Nintendo will copy a feature unless :
It's a succesful\popular feature that won't add unnecessary cost to the console. They belive they can do better because they have come up with an inovative twist. It's an useful mass-marked-friendly feature.So if the Xbox 360's change-able cover feature prove to be a hit then Nintendo may follow. :)

It really would depend on a lot of things for me. Of the colors that I have seen so far, I will probably go with the black just because it looks best with the blue light. If the white were to have say, a red light, I may be tempted to opt for it.

The green would need a different color light as well, seeing as blue and green just do not go well together in my honest opinion.

I would love to see an orange Wii as well. If an orange Wii had a light color that complimented it well, I may opt for that.

As it stands though, it seems like blue is the only color light that will be in the consoles. I really hope that something changes, because I don't really want another black console, but it just looks so nice with that blue light.

No, white looks best with the blue light, it has that "friendly futuristic" image, while black with the red light has the more dark image...

I would have prefered an emerald green console, but that lime green wasn't to bad either when I took a closer look at it. I think I will either go for that one or the black depending on what is aviable at launch.

Hmmm that black is quite noice. The white isn't bad either, but I never really had a love for white electronic equipment.(The Old World stigmatism in the A/V world: decent A/V equipment almost never appears in white.) The silver/platinum wouldn't be bad, not as sexy as the black but it seems to be more acceptable than white nowadays... so black for me.
