Well, as far as more buttons in it, that might not be too bad or farfetched as long as the buttons are located in an accesible location.

Magical crystals.... I saw in the Star Wars animation that jedis use their psionic power to put crystals into a shell that became their lightsabers.

Harware is rarely ever finalized until 3-4 months prior to launch so Shigeru's statements about the Wii-mote not being final are pretty natural for the industry. I love how this site doesn't understand that concept so they pass it off like it's a bad thing, "It is kinda late in the game to be making statements like..."

No, I meant the site you linked to posted it like it's a bad thing which is why I made the comment that it should be soemthing a news site should know.

Excuse me for being a skeptic, but I'm pretty sure the majority of the work is done. The most I can really see changing is some minor asthetics and perhaps that sensor bar dohicky that seems to be ever changing.

If the majority of the work is done then that means there is a minority left hence why it's not finalized. If the changes were major it would never be released Winter of 2006.
