$150- Wii + Wiimote/nunchuck/classic
$200- Wii + Wiimote/nunchuck/classic x2 +zapper + Wii sports (w/ duck hunt) and one free game download.
Wii sports is going to be a budget title $20
The controller package should be about $35
The zapper should be REALLY cheap since it's power source is the controller. $10
One free game download could be like $5
What do you guys think would be better?

I don't want any gay packages like 360 and PS3.

I'm confused since there seems to be a confirmation of things in your post. I won't get bundles until I can choose the extras or if the bundles satisfy me already. I'll most likely try to get a bundle of things that should come with the system.
Wii
nunchuck
wiimote
another wiimote
storage device (SD card, jump drive, or ex hdd)
game
The game can be more than one. Zelda is a must because it's Zelda. Then I need a game that really uses the controller. I also want a game that really uses online. So 2-3 games.
i think it should just be 200...thats a good price, it has a good sound to it, higher is too much, lower sounds too cheap like its not worth the next gen leap...and whatevers appropriate to get with that price...but sure id take all that stuff with it in a heart beat

Theres a difference between a package and a bundle. (Maybe not the meaning of the words themselves...but you know...)
A package would be like the xbox360 and the ps3. An official package where the actual hardware is different.
A bundle would be an unofficial package that a store does themselves. When I got my Gamecube, EB had their own bundle that no one else had. It was a Gamecube, an extra controller, a memory card and your choice of game for however much, saving X amount of dollars.
I also dont want any gay packages, but I would welcome a bundle from EB that has exactly what I want, perhaps with a saving.

If I wanted accessories I'd buy them seperate. No packages, please.

Either way i'll be buying;
Wii
Like 3-5 games
extra wiimote
sd card
probably the classic controller
I am willing to bet that all the wiimotes come with nunchuka attachments. It would be shitty of them to package them seperately when most games use both.

ide start with the wii 2 controllers probably only 3 games at first, and a classic controller
for the gc as i didt have enough money i bought a controler before anything else..

And Nintendo has a history of releasing their consoles at a $200 price point, anyway. $200 is still my prediction.
Bundles are fine, as long as the cheaper bundle isn't missing things that are practically required. "It's only $200! but if you want the AC adapter, you need the Super Bundle Value Package, which costs $600!"

I'll buy my system separate, unless the particular retail establishment is offering to take money off if I purchase the accessories I plan to purchase anyway, all at once.

Imagine a $600 bundle. Every store should just show off that option. I know its favoring one company, but it looks so attractive that I think customers just looking at the option will just choose some other option of buying something similar. I also hope the bundles are at least cheaper than the actual prices put together.
The thing with extras such as peripherals and accessories is that you won't buy them if they are separate. People just want to buy the games only. It only works if you include it free with the game.

This is my plan... first I'm gonna find out how much the PS3 will cost down here in Australia, then I'm gonna save up that amount of money and buy a Wii, accessories and a games and laugh at everyone who has a PS3 and no games cause they couldn't afford it... :p

Just give me my Wii, and I'll buy the accessories myself.

I'd go for just the Wii, but I'm guessing I'd buy all the accessories anyway eventually.

I imagine we're getting Wii+Wiimote+Nunchucky wotsit for $199.
I'd prefer it all for a dollar though. :)

well for interested OZ citizens, the premium PS3 console will be $1000 give or take a dollor or two depending on the store.
i'd like to be able to spend that much on Wii stuff but i got an overseas trip to save up for also.
when i leave my local EB on launch day i am wanting to leave with:
item (my expected price in AUD)
Wii, cables, stand, sensor, Wii Remote, nunchaku ($350-400)
2nd Wii Remote ($50-60)
Red Steel ($90-100)
Wii Sports ($60-70)
Metroid Prime 3 Corruption ($90-100)
Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess [Wii] ($90-100)
Rayman Raving Rabbids ($90-100)
total= $820-930
man i got some saving to do.
here's hoping i am over estimating the prices.
as far as bundles go i'm not really expecting there to be any.
but if there were i'd guess that they would go with:
Wii, cables, stand, sensor, Wii Remote, nunchaku
2nd Wii Remote
Wii Sports
the bundle is small and still fairly low price (probably US$310 at most, cant really tell until they announce the price)
it also goes with Nintendo's plan to attract non-gamers.
they get the console.
they get the game which is meant to be most appealing to non-gamers out of the launch titles.
they get a second Wii Remote meaning they wont have to decide to get on.
also they get that second Wii Remote so that non-gamers can play against their friends.
that in turn could attract those friends to buy a Wii of their own.
and that is the cycle Nintendo would like to see.

Yay, so now im not gonna be screwed out of about $440. My plan was to get the wii (which just for pricing estimate purposes im making $250) and another wiimote, also two classic controllers. the contollers should be about $90, I also want two games which will prolly be zelda and metroid, or zelda and warioware, OR zelda and madden. that should be about 100 dollars. Unless i get wii sports instead of those other games. I also want a zapper but i have no idea what the pricing on that is gonna be.
