This almost could have been done on Gamecube I think...

Gamecube looked better than people give it credit for.

This game worries me. I have heard that the controls need a lot of tweeking. That was from G4, and they don't tend to say good things about Ninty though... Just the Ps3.

EGM hated it. They said the gun fighting is a little off, the AI is stupid and the sword fighting is easy, boring and it doesn't feel like you're actually wielding a sword. So I think it's pretty true that it needs some serious tweaking. This game had so much promise to it, Ubisoft better get their act together and not release such a great idea as a crappy game.

oui, I would be very disapointed if this game turns out to be crappy.

It's ubisoft and isn't miyamato kind of helping them or something? So I imagine everything will be worked out before launch.

I don't know who to trust. I heard good things mainly about the shooting and then bad things. Right now I'll have to go with the good things people said rather than the bad because it's Ubi-Soft. Ubi-Soft has different teams good at FPS right? Well this team better be a good FPS group.

The sword fighting has been fixed according to this (http://www.nintendojo.com/infocus/view_item.php?1150921775).

^That says it has no release date, I thought it was going to be a launch title...

^The wii also has no release date yet though either.

It will be a launch title according to the newest nintendo power.

It's too early for me to worry about shoddy controls for this game. They've still got several months before launch, and they've also had a month since E3, already. If we were just weeks from launch and were still hearing about how horrible it controls, then I'd be worried.

i'm not so sure. the graphics could be close. if done on GC it probably wouldnt be as smooth around the edges, also lighting effects and physics wouldnt be as good. then if the Wii-mote was a GC periferal it would use alot of the power just so there wouldnt be any lag between the controller and action on screen.

but your right GC does look good its just up to developers to not be lazy and use the hardware properly.

The sword fighting has been fixed according to this.
that article in GI is only about the demo at E3 not a newer demo. i believe that GI were so hyped about sword fighting that they ended up not caring that slashes would go along certain paths. i'm not sure if the swordfighting will be fixed. i hope it does but for me it won't be too much of a problem if it isnt. i believe the game will still be fun.

also by looking at some actual gameplay footage from e3, it looks like the turning can be fixed easily just by increasing the sensitivity.

all in all i'm not too worried. the game is going to look good, its going to play well, the story will be portrayed well and will be fun to play overall.
