'General Sony' seems to have dissapeared or I've gone blind so I guess I post this here.
I know the name came from the owner's fav song "The Sonny Boy." (Just removes one 's' from Sonny..Genius) But where did the logo come from and why is it like that (talking about SCEE)?
I think it's quite boring and looks...pointless.
Does anyone know the story/reason behind it?

Well, it a stylized 'S', that is probably it, but I have always liked it.

that logo sure brings back memories. PSOne had it in the opening with that great music along with it.

it is funny that PS2 doesn't show the logo. it only says SCEA/E/J/K and the game boots. not only doen't the famous PS2 logo show up, even the name of the console doesn't appear. weird.

Playstation 2 does appear Z, just before the game actually begins.

ah, yes.

you know what is weird? the famous 'PS2' blue logo doesn't show up anywhere official, not even in mags or billboards, or game cases. they aleays write the full name. guess they want to keep one general PS logo (the original one) as a base.
