Hello,

Can anybody still remember on this cover, which is showing the amazing painting with the tough battle between Chun Li, Blanka and Ryu?
If yes, what are your opinions about that?

PS: In the attachment you can see the cover.

Regards

Jan

Not only do I remember it, I still have it. Still rates in the top 5 all time fighting games in my book.

As for the art, I like it. Capcom has come a long way since the days of their Megaman game box art.

Ah, Street Fighter 2. The game that has always been, and always will be, the most whored out game ever.

I don't care how many times it's been fucked, it's still a great lay.

Sure Capcom went super happy uber greedy with it but that doesn't dimish the quality at all.

Ah, memories. I did like that cover.

In certain versions of SFA3, you can actually do Dramatic Battles between 3 characters.

Yeah that is a very sexy cover. Makes even some of our modern box art look like 3rd rate crap.

I loved the game too, but the turbo version was better IMO.

When I think of Street Fighter, it's that one that comes to mind, and this box art as well. I never got into the fifty rehashes and half sequels that followed.

That makes two of us.

The original had by far the best balance and gameplay.

I have a big original poster from this cover, on which you can see the 3 thrashing opponents in a larger shape, so I must admit, that Chun Li has a little too much muscles on this cover, especially to see this on her both powerful legs. .She was a young Chinese girl at her first appearance in 1992, it seems the american artist didn't know exactly, how must to draw such an asian woman, perhaps he thought he must draw Chun Li in this tough style, to show that she can keep up with her male counterparts, but this style let she appears herself too masculine, that is not very realistic, she must be much more female.

What you are thinking about it?

Here is a scan from the poster, which is showing the painting from this cover. I must take it down from the wall to make a scan. The poster was hanging there for about 10 years already.

Nice poster though the image is reversed, lol.

I think they drew her a bit muscular because she claims to be the strongest woman in the world.

Street fighter II, I was like 3yrs old when i played that game. I still have home videos of me and my big bro playing it at my old house. I buy almost series every series of it. I have MVC2 now. Old copy broke and then had to buy it again at game stop for 59.99! USED! This game is so dam rare. Stupid blue disks.
