Then you have Baten Kaitos and Symphonia, both which already received AAA/excellent scores in Famitsu. Throw in Animal Crossing 2, Pikmin 2, Twin Snakes, Mario Tennis, Harvest Moon, Namco's Star Fox 2.

And we still don't know the situation with Mario 128.

PS2's lineup isn't that bad this year. They have a few heavy hitters in there like Getaway 2, GT4, GTA, KillZone, MGS3, Onimusha 3, RE Outbreak, possibly ICO 2, Dark Cloud 3, Sly Cooper sequel, plus they have all the multiplatform games (even though they are usually the worst, ps2 owners don't have to be worried about not getting them), the most RPG's, and EA online exclusivity.

Btw Phanty, how could you say those games sucked. either they got great reviews from famitsu, or were early versions of the game. Some i do agree shouldnt be on the list(FF mainly), but how could you say no to Metroid Prime 2, Resident Evil 4, Pikmin 2, MGS: TT, Zelda, Baiten Kaedos, Tales of Symphonia, Animal Crossing 2, Harvest Moon, Killer 7, and even Zelda: Four Swords and Donkey Konga(IGN loves them both, and Donkey Konga sold very well in Japan).

Online Tenchu will kick ass...it's not just a stupid rehash, the graphics are actually good and there are new stealth kills (very important in Tenchu) and fucking online play. Some rehash...HAH.

PS2 has some good games coming out, but I'll be playing Xbox and Gamecube the most.

This gives them a lot more leeway to have bad games and good games. The more bad games you have, the more good games are going to show up.

Yeah I think the Xbox has a pretty sweet line up of games... that is why I am selling my gc to my brother to get one, the gc to me just doesn't have enough good games I want to get coming out. I am still going to want play metroid prime 2 and tales of symphonia but it will be all good cause i will still have access to the gc alot of the time and I could just rent the game for a week and borrow the gc, so it will work out good for me.

I notice jags on my TV when I play games. If you are going by gameplay no they don't matter, but for graphics they do matter. Just my two cents.

RSC2 looks much better then that, its a crappy capture. The same thing happened with RSC1, looked like crap in screens but awesome in motion. Look at the newer RSC2 gameplay movies of the beta version.

You might be wondering about the graphics. The original Rallisport Challenge stands as one of the best-looking Xbox games, to date, and by extension, it's one of the best-looking games ever made. Let's just say the sequel does not disappoint. Those thoroughly impressed by the visuals in the recent Project Gotham Racing 2 will be in for a big surprise at how much better the visuals are in Rallisport Challenge 2. Extremely authentic weather effects, tremendously detailed environments and car models, a beautifully smooth frame rate, plus shockingly realistic car damage all add up to what will likely be one of the best-looking racing games of all time. We witnessed a variety of different environments, from the lush jungles of Argentina to the rustic shores of Monte Carlo, and were thoroughly impressed with just about all of them. Some look like they still need a little work, as a few little rough edges here and there made a few of the tracks stand out from the others. We're pretty sure these are going to be fixed, though, since the game generally looks so remarkable.

Graphically, Rallisport Challenge 2 looks even better than its predecessor [RSC1 got a 9.5 in graphics]. The car models look even smoother, and the environments look incredibly slick. The snow level features the same great bump mapping on the ice, and the rain effect looks marvelous, with realistic drops of rain that slowly fade away from the windshield. Of course, you've still got your volumetric grass and whatnot, so no worries there. What is most impressive, and improved over the original, is the fantastic damage modeling. Hoods bend and dent, doors fly off, windows shatter, and spoilers dangle from the cars with only a thread of metal holding them on. The damage modeling is without a doubt some of the best we've seen in any racing game, period.

Digital Illusions knows how to make a beautiful game. The visuals were sharp, with an abundance of detail in the art and animation. Imagine: trees swaying in the wind, raindrops accumulating on the car's windshield, leaves scattering as you drive over them, they are all here and done beautifully.

The cardboard cut-out crowds of other racing games are nowhere to be found in RC2. The spectators here are done in full 3D, complete with animation that reacts to your car as it whizzes by. These touches make the tracks in RC2 feel "alive" when compared to other racing games.

Any rally fan knows that these races take place in all sorts of weather. You can race through the streets of Monte Carlo on a sunny day, through the forest during a downpour, or during a snowstorm at night. All weather effects are rendered beautifully, and can vary in intensity during just one race, just like real weather!
