For those of you who don't know what this site is, there's a good explaination here (http://eon8theinvestigation.ytmnd.com/). Basically this person made an extremely mysterious site filled with encrypted data, codes and dangerous sounding messages (and a countdown that ended earlier today) for the sake of finding people's reactions from their lack of information.

But for those of you who have seen it before the countdown ended, what did you think it was? If you were fooled by it and want to remain annonymous, use the poll. Heck, please use the poll even if you weren't.

Also, if anyone has a mirror of the original site with the countdown, security page, map and everything, please post it here so people can understand better what the site was if they've never seen it before.

I guess I'm an idiot beyond help. But whenever I see a counter with no ino about it I'm assuming something is gonna happen, especially when millions of other people around me are making the same assumption that it's terrorism.

I see. Well, if I were to make a convincing terrorist site, I'd make the user think that they had to hack or something to get in. Use a flash to make them click a few buttons, and no matter what have "Access Granted" come up and go to the countdown.

But that defeats the purpose of having minimal information and gauging the public reaction.

The internet is loaded with a whole mess of bullshit. I would have beleaved this as much as I beleaved the "Invasion by mars" thing a few years ago, and all those "You will die" and "You will be single forever" and all that other shit that floats about the web.
