Poll results are fairly meaningless, but not nearly as much as "expert" predictions. At least polls are obtaining information from people, even if those people are profoundly ignorant or if the polls are biased, while predictions are pulled from the author's own ass and are just a "I think this because of this and this".

Personally, I'm tired of seeing both subjects.

Well those polls mark the opinion of alot more people than this poll. Elections should be done by over 90% of the population (however I believe the last one was under 10%). This poll was probably done with about 1000 people or less and that is the reason that everytime we have a poll the results are completely different with each one. A new console seems to be in the lead every 5 minutes.

I just took a poll in my head, here are the results;

Will buy a PS3= 1
Will buy a 360= 0
Will buy a Wii = 0

Now as you can see, MS and Nintendo could be in serious trouble here as seemingly this poll would undermine recent popular opinion to the contrary.

In fact, if we take this latest poll of one person and apply it to the population of the World, we see PS3 selling about 10 Billion consoles, with MS and Nintendo falling a distant 2nd with 0 consoles sold each.

We can confidently predict that this latest poll is not going to go down well on the MS and Nintendo forums!!!

Also, this poll was open to anyone who wanted to partake, so its not all bias. Angeljuice's was not, which is why its a dumb example. Either way, both polls obviously do not show the final outcome, because not everyone uses the internet, not everyone will see that site, not everyone has confirmed their desicions, etc.

Yes that is true for the president , but not every election is decided that way.


That was only done btw to keep people from buying votes in the past (lol like they aren't bought now) .

Basicly we vote for senate and house represenatives and then they are supposed to listen to us and out votes and use that to vote for who we want as president .

It sadly no longer works that way as you noted above .

Agreed electoral votes are outdated and need to be changed, damn republics stole the election (back then anyways, no-one to blame about the last election just the Democrats that dont go vote).

If you guys look around at all the major polls they all come with the same conclusion and more people are interested right now in the Nintendo Wii than any other console. The reason why that is the mystery behind the console has caught their interest.

Nintendo did great at E3 and you guys have to remember that poll won't mean anything for Nintendo if they can't prove themselves with the product.

Can you point out that obvious factor for me because I can't see it. 3 things show me otherwise. 1, sales figures and market share for the X360 are actually given. 2&3, the order fo consoles listed in the paragraph list Wii last both times. A fanboy would subconsciously state the Wii first.

As has been noted, this poll mimics the sentiment shown on countless other polls on many well respected sites. For two generations polls such as this one held Sony in its favor yet outside of Nintendo fanboys not anyone ever tried to claim they were always published by a Sony fanboy based on the fact that a Nintendo console wasn't leading it.

All I'm asking is don't be so quick to push the Bullshit button.

I love my PS and PS2 to deaf-I'm a Playstation fan all the way (not a Sony fan) but I have to agree with Viper on this. Everytime we see a poll or some dev complaining about PS3 we automatically assume it's B.S. With all the negative info suring around there has to be some merit to it guys. I remember the PS2 early days and I believe there is a lot of that going on right now, yet u can't ignore the fact that Xbox 360 delivered on their promise of next-gen games with amazing graphics. Wii delivered on their promise of something unique, innovative, and fun. PS3 has fallen short with games that impress too far and in-between and on the longest and most boring conferences ever. (they didn't even have Assassin's Creed or Heavenly Sword demo at their conference) The system will be great (just look at the developer support) but right now-360 is the only next-gen system out and its actually getting better with each month. It's hott right now-just face it. If u don't want one wait for PS3. If u like Gears of War (like me) or Mass effect or Prey then pick one up in October or whateva. But don't deny polls just because people are showing there disappointment with Sony at the moment. Every system gets it's spotlight
