when i first became aware of MILR, i was of the same opinion as most. Christ, i even accused him of being some sort of spy (what a dope, eh lol). when i heard that he had decided to ask for his membership to be ended, i sighed with relief, but he persisted, which really upset my day. having PMed him and learned more about the man behind the text, i began to realize that he was a true gentleman. Still, though he continued with the RSX posts. i sat back and thought 'man, your doing yourself no favours'

But (and its a big but) after a few more posts on other subjects and kind responses to those that gave him positive reactions, he began to find his way back into the fold. now, regardless of whether you agree with all of his posts or not, you have to say that he's a stellar guy with a passion. so i want to take this opportunity to say: don't leave this forum MILR, it would not be the same without you.

sometimes - if we truly consider ourselves a community - we need to commend certain posters and MILR is the perfect candidate.

yea I've always really respected MILR, even though I don't always agree with him either.

I have to say each of us, is very unique (in a good way) which makes this community great!!!

I think MILR is setting himself for a major fall in regards to RSX. It would make my day to see that RSX is a new beast that is generations ahead of anything out there right now, but realistically, Sony will take it as far as it can accomplish its job, and at a cost effective price. MILR needs to stop focusing on the "tech" and just worry about the games, cuz that's all that matters. Once he does, he will realize why the masses are waiting anxiously for PS3.

Thanks Cliffbo and Leedogg. I appreciate both of you too.

Basically, I have not been "happy" for more than a very short period of time for as long as I can remember. I am very stressed out about lots of things in my life and am cynical about many different issues. Sometimes I have let my frustration about things in my personal life and issues other than the PS3 spill out on this board. For that, I apologize.

My current goal on this forum is to somehow track down and confirm the specifications of at least the RSX. At that point I really need to back away (not leave for good or anything) to try and accomplish somethings in my life. To be honest, things are crazy right now in my life ever since my parents nasty seperation and divorce. Things were bad before, but after that things worsened tremendously.

I'm hanging in there and I cannot thank everyone enough who has wished me well, prayed for me, said nice things to me, and have been patient with me even when I was sometimes going half way crazy on this board.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate it.

No harsh is going into the Playstation 3 forum and seeing threads about MakeItLookReal's personal life. He has no reason to let it spill over into a forum about Playstation 3 and really disrespects the structure of the entire forum. There's a general discussion board for a reason.

Well, I agree with all of the(positive) things said above. It seems that you're gong through a hard period in your life, and I respect you for still trying to focus on something like the RSX. Just try not to vent your frustrations in the forums, k?

And no, it shouldn't be moved to general. MILR posts on the PS3 board, and we know him the best. I don't see what the guys over at general discussion would care about this thread, since I don't believe that MILR post much over there.

Yeah, we're a community here. We aren't here just to have logic discussions, you know? We're here to be social. PArt of being social is commenting on issues in the community. The same goes for someone improving, like MILR. It's very clear that he's much more polite and thoughtfull now, than when he first joined forums.

And why shouldn't we congratulate him for that?

PEOPLE CAN READ THE THREAD TITLE. If you don't like the subject matter don't read on.

I only read the PS3 forum (HERE), so if this thread was put in general discussion, I for one would not have seen it.

MILR was here over a year ago when I joined, and he has been posting HERE since.

I for one feel the need to appologise to you MILR because I did get snappy with you at one point when you seemed to hijack a lot of the threads asking the same questions over and over. I realise now this is down to a certain determination to uncover the truth, rather than one to derail the forum.

Since you've come back you've proven yourself a worthy and respectable member of the "community", + rep for all your efforts.

I've grown to respect MILR like never before thanks to this individual referring to himself as the forums 'Voice of Reason'. Before JVD, I used to think of MILR as the most obnoxious being ever. But he has a strong tendecy to learn stuff whether related to RSX/PS3 or forum respect of everyone's wishes.

Eversince JVD started shoving everything negative about PS3 in every god damn thread here. I found out MILR was oodles better than him.

OH and not to forget JVD can tend to lie from time to time a lot to try to support his arguments. Whereas, MILR is mostly questions about technology and graphic whoring. Questions/Graphic whoring I can live with but 'Lies' that spread negativity? HELL NO!

Cheers MILR. Don't turn into JVD.[/Rant]

PS: JVD, if reading this, we're still waiting on your E3 badge photo. Don't think you're off the hook especially after that stunt you pulled trying to blame frosty for not being at E3 in the NT thread.

I never had a problem with MILR and had a respect for his tenacity...
I don't always agree with the comments, but he is very consistent with his thoughts and I understand his demands. Members like MILR are great for the forums, but we have numerous members who make great contributions so everyone should keep up the good work.

Also, I think everyone is taking the JVD bashing too far...
We all know he is a XBox fan first and should keep that in mind.
If people are this upset with his post just ignore the guy and call it a day. Peace

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

By the way, I am 26 years old.

Also, let me share another reason with all of you why I want to find out the technical specs of the PS3. I really need to pry myself away from this computer. There are a lot of things I need to try to do to better my life, but a combination of *really* wanting to find out the specifications of the PS3, the fact posting on here is easier than dealing with real life, and of course that I like interacting with all of you keeps me here.

I really like these forums and I appreciate all of you. But I really need to cut back on my time online. I'm addicted to searching for information about the PS3 and I *must* quit, because it's not good for me. Probably, I have spent literally a couple thousand hours searching through the web for new information about the PS3 with only a little luck and no *solid* information. Truthfully, I just want to know the specs of the PS3 so I can start to back away from these forums to take care of stuff in real life. For example, I must find a way to move out and get my own place even if it will be very difficult and expensive.

Of course I will not *leave* permanently or anything, but I really need to focus on other areas of my life. Right now, the way things are, not only is it impossible for me to get my own place but there is no possible way I can afford a PS3 by itself or an a HDTV. Honestly, before I worry about finding a way to buy the PS3 I need to do whatever it takes (legally and peacefully of course) to get a good enough income so I can move out. That way one day I can have my own place and can have a PS3.....

Of course there is more that I want to do with my life than get my own home and a PS3. Personally, two things that are important to me are trying to get my relationship with God back in order. Even though I would probably be considered very tame by many people I have backslidden when it comes to my Christian life and I need to focus on fixing that. Additionally, I want to marry and have a wife.

Even though it is easier just to sit here and post all day I know I need to drag myself away.

If I could just find the specs of the PS3 and RSX that would be much easier.

So if by some chance you don't see me posting much anymore it is because I've managed to drag myself away.

I think perhaps you are attempting to tackle too many issues at once man. Im not big on multi tasking, I prefer a direct dedicated logical approach to problem solving.

I sincerely hope you find contentment with your spirituality, but God gave you a mind of your own and its up to you to direct your own life.

Regardless of your methods and results I hope you find contentment in your personal life.

And may the quest for RSX continue

It's funny that you called me Fox Mulder because at one point I was an amateur Ufologist. I still am interested in the subject but realize the government will *never* come clean on the topic unless the extraterrestrials arrive in mass or if something like the Phoenix Lights happens in the daytime. The coverup is sealed tight and the leaks actually help it stay secret by giving skeptics fuel to make the UFO community look bad. If a piece of information leaks out the debunkers and government agents jump all over it and "spin" it into something negative. People say there couldn't be a coverup because the government could never keep it all secret. Well, it's still "secret" but some information has leaked out. They just do a great job of using that information to keep the subject "kooky" in the eyes of the media so no one takes it seriously.

The UFO subject was driving me *far* crazier than the PS3 subject has ever did. Because it is truly an important and serious issue. But even when amazing things happened like the Phoenix Lights, Col. Philip Corso's book was released, major UFO sightings happened, UFOs were recorded on Space Shuttle video, or all sorts of other major things the media and majority of the public are so trained into considering it all kooky they are scared to openly demand the truth.

The coverup is sealed tighter than you could ever believe.

Personally, with how crazy the world is right now, if there is some sort of "Federation of Planets" out there or even a species of freedom loving extraterrestrials that could help us out we could sure use their advice and leadership!

By the way, this is one thing I want all of you to know. The technology to travel to the stars exists right now. It is not some far flung future thing. This whole planet could have a level of technology BEYOND that of "Star Trek" in a matter of decades if the government came clean about what they know and of course stopped suppressing new (to us at least) technologies such as cold fusion, antigravity, Zero Point Energy, vacumm energy, scalar electromagnetics, etc.

This whole world and the way we live is one huge giant LIE. Once you *really* discover that and accept that and realize there is almost *nothing* can do about it (unless you want to dedicate yourself full-time to exposing the truth at the risk of perhaps accomplishing nothing with all those years which is a noble thing to do if you have the courage) you *must* forget about it all or push it to the back of your mind just to stay sane.

When one third of the planet goes to bed hungry every night (if they have a bed to even sleep on), our environment is falling apart, and we desperately need advanced technologies to help solve our problems it is an absolute horror that it is all being supressed. I've tried to push it to the back of my mind, but it's difficult sometimes.

The PS3 subject can be frustrating, but it's no where as disturbing as the UFO/ET and alternative technology subject.

Let me make a suggestion.

Do all of you really want to discover the truth about the RSX? Do you really? Are you willing to put in some time to discover the truth?

Then those that are interested need to form an RSX taskforce, create an RSX blog/website somewhere, and work together in an effort to obtain information.

Working together we could get a lot more done than working alone and randomly searching for information. Even a small group of people working together in a coordinated, dedicated, and organized way can make a tremendous difference.

Seriously, I am sure all of you have connections or know people that have connections. By using all our connections and logically going about things utilizing all of our various skills and talents we could obtain the information we seek.

I am just not going to try and organize any such effort by myself or try to lead an effort. I would be a part of such a group, but have tried to start one before on here and it failed due to people being interested but not willing to actually *work* together as a team.

Slowly back away from the keyboard go to the kitchen make some coffee, call Cliff tell him you love him, and then very calmly say to yourself

"The RSX will be revealed in time as will any UFO conspiracys and/or theoretical highly advanced methods of faster than light travel."

If anything pick up a copy of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and enjoy a good book (actually from your interests you would most likely really enjoy it).

We've been harvesting technology from the Roswell crash for decades. Maybe RSX is under such strict NDA because they've finally unlocked the secret t0 the GPU that powers the UFOs display system, and RSX will be incorporating alien technology.

In this time of PS3 "smear threads", MILR is the kind member whose posts I certainly look forward to reading. He is very passionate about the RSX and is optimistic about the PS3 in general. Why aren't we as dismissive of the negative PS3 posts here, especially of the purely speculative ones?

First of all the transistor itself was based on extraterrestrial technology from Roswell. Yes, Bell Labs was working on it before the crash but then suddenly a few months after Roswell happened they got a real working version and that is what all of our modern electrical technology is based on.

By the way, I really do want to find out the truth about the RSX and really hope that tommorow on the Ninja Theory boards they will answer the question I posted. It would be nice if they could rule out the multicore possibility.
