If you actually watch the damn footage, referee isn't even caring what Ronaldo has to say, he [the ref] is like "wot the fuckever" and he is looking at the injured man, it's when Rooney pushes Ronaldo the ref takes action.

I really don't see the fuss.

And the wink was just "Good thing that happened." Kind of thing. Not "excellent! Our plan of one of our guys getting stomped on the balls and then me getting pushed by rooney worked perfectly" kind of wink.

Although on the diving front, nearly all teams pissed me off during World Cup.

^ The ref actually issued a statment saying he planned to send rooney off BEFORE he pushed ronaldo, he was sent off for the 'stomp' not the push, and ronaldo had no need to get involved especially not when the other guy is a so called "friend".
