Sony releases new 4GB memory card
10 July 2006 - Sony's new 4Gb Memory Stick PRO Duo will come bundled with an adaptor so that it can be used with devices that accept standard-size Memory Sticks.
Users can store up to 1,000 songs, or up to 3,000 photos on the 4Gb device.
The PRO Duo is one-third the size and half the weight of Memory Stick standard cards, and features a robust build so that it can be used in extreme temperature conditions.
It even boasts a 5-year warranty and free file rescue software that recovers accidently-deleted information.
The 4Gb card will retail for about €170, or £118.

If you went down my (somewhat time consuming) root, and used AAC, you'd get much more than 1,000 on.
I want a camera that uses memory stick duo.
It would be great to take pictures on holiday, then put it in my psp to see them, but I don't know any good cameras that work like that

That's a horrible article. It states 4 GB in the title and 4 Gb everywhere else. Which is it? Better be 4 GB.

Gb and GB are not the same. Either the product is being released using the Gb unit of measure, which is odd but not unheard of, or that article author is a tech noob.

I bought a 4GB memorystick and it good, even though I could do with the extra 300+MB, yes I know the system takes some and about the bits conversion, but it really means when formatted 4GB=3.66GB I actually said WTF! so loud the bosses heard :(.
