And it's my first mac ever. So wish me luck.

It's a bare bones older laptop;

800 mhz, 256 Ram. Nothing special, but i just wanted to get a feel for osx before I dumped an exorbanant amount of cash into a new laptop.

I paid 300 bucks.

Good price for that old thing. You should have a Radeon 7500 in it. Get some more RAM though.

Nah. It's not going to be a gaming computer, I'm basically using it just to get a feel for OSX before I buy a better one. I figure I'll grab some more RAM, and just use it as an ipod dock, and for school stuff.

The Radeon 7500 is for Quartz Exteme. And the RAM is so that OS X isn't sluggish. Hopefully you have 10.3 or 10.4.

It's got 10.4 tiger on it.

So far, it's not sluggish at all, although i haven't run any huge programs on it yet.

I can see why it needs more RAM though.
