View Full Version : Enabling WEP on my wireless network
I've been trying my best for ages to try and introduce some sort of security for my wireless network, but I'm not having any luck at all. I just cannot seem to set a WEP key up at all and I'm not sure why. My Router is a Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=187046). I've tried the obvious, such as entering the IP address into the URL bar in my browser to access the Administration page, but nothing at all is working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is the belkin address. Get to "run" and type "CMD" and hit enter. Type in "ipconfig" and post ip listed for the "default gateway". That is the address of your router.
Also, don't use WEP, at least use WPA.

The web front end administration page isn't coming up? Have you tried resetting the rotuer/modem? I doesn't sound like you locked yourself out via password.
I've reset my router multiple times, and no, I doubt that I've lock myself out because I've never had the opportunity to do that!

what is your Default Gateway?
WTH... Whenever I enter in the IP address for my Router a page appears which is called "Test Page for Apache Installation".
If you can see this, it means that the installation of the Apache web server software on this system was successful. You may now add content to this directory and replace this page.
Seeing this instead of the website you expected?
This page is here because the site administrator has changed the configuration of this web server. Please contact the person responsible for maintaining this server with questions. The Apache documentation has been included with this distribution.
