Hey, if you run Xgl/Compiz and havent tried it yet give this a go, It will make the screensavers in the command act as your screensaver, heavy on CPU but VERY KEWL, you can even make movies act as screensaver!

Install xwinwrap (through synaptic if you have ubuntu) and run one of these commands:

Xmatrix

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/xmatrix -window-id WID -delay 40000 -density 60 -crack

Flying Toasters

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/flyingtoasters -window-id WID -delay 10000

Plasma

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/plasma -window-id WID &

GLmatrix

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glmatrix -window-id WID -delay 10000

Ant

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/antspotlight -window-id WID -delay 10000

Bubbles

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/bubble3d -window-id WID -delay 10000

Flurry

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/flurry -window-id WID -delay 10000

Noof

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -o 0.4 -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/noof -window-id WID -delay 10000

Blocktube

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -argb -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/blocktube -window-id WID -delay 10000

GLslideshow

/usr/bin/xwinwrap -ni -fs -s -st -sp -b -nf -- /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glslideshow -window-id WID -duration 30 -pan 15 -fade 10 -clip -delay 50000

Haha, that's really cool. My friend has this set up on his gentoo installation, maybe I'll give it a try. I have a rather old nVidia card, so while most of compiz works great things like this make me nervous.
