I was just wondering if there was anyway to earn a PS3 online that was not a scam, illegal, or spamming? I see lots of ads all the time saying WIN A PS3 or GET A NEXT GEN GAMING CONSOLE. Are any of them legitimate? The ones I have looked into look like some sort of pyramid scheme or you have to convince a bunch of other people to sign up for something.
Are there any legitimate ways to earn a PS3 online? I think that there are a lot of people in really bad financial and personal situations which could really benefit from this information.
If you know of a way to earn a PS3 please POST IT HERE!

You can't earn something that isn't out.
I guess you can wait until the console is out to dabble in any of those kinds of schemes.
Seeing as though there will probably be an influx of those sorts of things.
A good way would be to buy one with the money you make. That's what most people are doing.

dear MIRL
the time that you spend on one of those sceems you could put into overtime and buy a ps3 with 4 games
I believe that Jax speaks the truth, but I'm not sure. Some of those schemes "may" work. Personally, I'd just work as much as possible and try and scrape as much money by as I could.

dude, look at my sig. i'm getting one for about $300 (the $600 version). if i weren't a vet at these things i could get one for probably $20, like i did other things when i first started.
many of these are a scam, for sure. PM me if you have questions, but most the ones you see advertised are known as DIY sites. and yeah, most are scams. not scams really, just really difficult and expensive.
here's a guide i'm actually writing at this moment for my website:
http://bashfreebieguide.com/diy.php
I recommend referral-based sites. they're not pyramid schemes, they're 100% legal and legit, and my FAQ explains it:
http://bashfreebieguide.com/faq.php
i'll actually pay ya $15 to get started towards yours by signing up at the same site i'm getting my ps3 from.

Those sites do indeed sorta look fishy to me.
BTW, some of us are in bad situations looking for work, can't easily look for a job (transportation issues), or in such bad emotional states that it's difficult to pull oneself together enough to get a job plus deal with the stuff going on at home.
An online opportunity that's not some sort of scam that would allow you to get a PS3 would be great. Because some of us are not financially able to get a PS3 and even if we had the money we are in so much debt it would not be the responsible thing to do with the money.
Does anyone know of any online opportunities that allows you to earn a PS3 without having to sign up for all kinds of stupid purchases, spamming the internet, or doing other less than scrupulus stuff?

figured i might as well post my PM reply to milr so as to answer other peoples' questions as well.
all of the sites listed on my site are not scams. the site i'm doing is gaming.free4me.net
i already got a check for $250 from them. this is the most popular freebie site right now i'd say. this free4me network.
read the FAQ on my site for how it works.
it's not multi-level marketing really. dunno exactly the meaning of the term, but if it literally means more than one level of people involved, like a pyramid, in order for youy to get something, then there isn't. there's only one level: you and the people you refer. no worries about what your referred people do. they can sign up and then die and it won't matter....
but basically, you sign up (like i said i'll pay ya) and then you get others to. go to a site like anything4free.com and you can either a)pay others to sign up or b)trade with people, where you sign up on their site and they sign up at yours. if you pay people you're looking at about half the cost of the ps3. you'd be new so i don't advise that. instead you can trade and when you sign up at other peoples' site you're only gonna be spending no more than $5 i'd say for each of the 13 people you trade with to get your ps3. so it'll cost you maybe $30. you just sign up for free trials of stuff, like netflix, or aol, or other services. sometimes you pay a dollar for the trial, sometimes you pay shipping and handling to get a product sample. that's it.

One way to make it cheeper atleast is that all the stores ftm in Sweden has a offer. The biggest game-chain in Europe trades in a PS2 and 3ps2 games for 100Euro discount. Its always something.

milr, i don't have a job either. this crap has been my only income for a while. you don't hafta spam the net to get referrals. in fact you probably won't get any that way anyways. but there's forums where you can trade with others, where people WANT to sign up. makes it really easy for ya.
as for other opportunites that require basically no work on your part, that's just too good to be true :) maybe a contest?...
-edit-
BTW, just saw an ad on psinext.com for a free laptop. it's ConsumerSavingCenter. they're legit. i got two grand from them.

:devious:
I know of one way. I want to believe it's legit. All we gotta do is enter a bank, any bank. Politely ask the manager to pay us for PS3. If he doesn't comply then convince him by applying some makeup procedure on his face. I'm sure he'll understand. Just walk out of there with the money, no harm done to anyone. And viola, we got a PS3. Party time baby, muahahaha! :evillaugh
I'll try it out and let you know how it went. If you don't get a call from me, know that I must have used it for my lawyer instead. :thumbr: lol Seriously, I do wanna rob a bank. Damn console prices are bloated beyond ones belief over here. :dazed:
gnznroses, does it work for International too or just US only?

Yoshaw,
That kind of kidding is not really safe. I mean, I know you are not serious, but I don't dare kid about things like that.
Also, I'm trying to be serious. I see all kinds of offers for free PS3's and stuff like that. I don't know what they are all about, and the few I have looked into seem to be fishy to say the least. I'm not saying they don't work, but it seems like their not exactly on the level....

ps34free.com is in a bunch of countries now i hear. it's OfferCentric. they're legit. it's 12 referrals. only thing about OC is the last referral or two, the offers they have to choose from won't be as good and may cost em 20 or 30 bucks i think. not sure, i just know they're a bit harder after you get most your refs.
-edit-
correction on that site. you hafta accept cash.
Steve (Owner of OffereCentric) dropped me an email a little while ago to let all of you know that they are now open to 35 Countries! I’m not positive but I think United States, Canada and United Kingdom are the only ones that can receive shipped product. The other countries should all be open to receive Paypal money up to $1500 US.
The following countries can receive Paypal: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Uruguay.
This company has had some trouble with user complaints of Offers of Doom (OOD) in the past. This is where you refer a friend and all they see for offers to sign up for are very difficult offers like credit cards. However, I’m seeing a better trend in their site and they have had EXCELLENT shipping times. I went from approved to receiving my $450 Paypal from Flatscreens4Free within a few days! I think this company will be around for a long time and I have always kept faith in them. They have now shipped out $1.6 million in freebies worldwide.

lol.
btw, i just re-calculated my expenses and earnings, currently i'm at $824 in expenses and $3260 for earnings. adding in finishing the other half of my ps3 site ($175 more expenses) and receiving it ($600) and my $1400 (or laptop) i'll be at $1002 expenses and $5260 in earnings. all since last November.
oh, crap, that reminds me i never wrote down my lcd monitor in the earnings... dunno what it sells for tho. it's a 17" Dell. i'm also halfway done with a site for $200 cash (got one ref, need one more).
so yeah, that's how it's working out :)
and yeah, i keep good records...
only thing to figure out is taxes on some of this... most is untaxed but any gift worth more than $600 is taxed, including the $2000 check and the $1400 check/laptop. so that'll suck...

I guess some of these programs are legitimate but at the same time they seem pretty complicated buying and selling and trading stuff. It would be nice if there was some other program such as taking surveys, viewing their advertisements, checking out websites, or soemthing like that.
gnznroses
08-14-2006, 08:03 AM
it's slightly time consuming, yeah. i'd say the worst part is when i've signed up for an offer, like freakin makeup or diet pills or something (you can't do an offer twice so you get stuck with crappy ones after doing as many as i have, like 50 of em) and making up an excuse why i don't want it anymore... i just tell em i bought it for my sister... you aren't obligated to keep offers you sign up for, but the general rule is not to discuss cancelling them, as the advertisers may get mad if it's rampant. with that in mind, let me say i have kept some services i've signed up for. like netflix and gamefly. and may sign up with others again in the past now that i've tried them on a trial basis. :)

Well, if you're interested in earning a PS3, I know of a way. Just send me your Social Security Number. Lol. But seriously, get a job and earn it yourself. You'll appreciate the PS3 much more if you earn it through your own hard work.

For those of you who are bilingual, you may want to consider this: traduguide.com (http://www.traduguide.com/index.asp)
It is not required to be a qualified translator to get some jobs. It may be enough to have a good amount of knowledge and language skill, or even some translation experience of some kind; your professional fields may be a good advantage too. There are a lot of offers and you might be lucky soon enough. Translating stuff is not easy though, so if you aren't knowledgeable enough in both the source language and the target language, don't do it.
My personal experience: I did several short jobs over the last six months and I got money enough to buy a HDTV (or a PS3 and many games for that matter ;)), which I did a couple of weeks ago  However, translations are tedious, so I'm not doing this anymore; but I'm satisfied with what I got :)
Just an idea.

Thanks for the information about the translation service. I wish I new another langrage, but sadly I do not. I would like to learn one. Actually, my dream is to learn the langrage of an extraterrestrial species.
By the way, I have tried to make a couple blogs before to make some money, but didn't get hardly any hits at all and all together made less than two dollars. I quit because I was spending way too much time on them for little or no money.

were you trying to make money from ads? cause if so that's very hard. you hafta have LOTS of daily hits.
oh, and i forgot there's one other kind of DIY freebie site. points-based sites. instead of doing X number of offers across three pages you just sign up for any offers you want and they give you cash for each one. after you've earned however much you want you checkout and they give you the money you've accumulated. this site is kinda new but popular:
http://www.prizebook.com/signup.php?ref=bash@bashsoftware.net
you can refer others if you want but it's not required. if you refer people you get 10% of what they make (they don't make 10% less, they make the same amount). so yeah, that's my referral link above.

My way of saving money went like this:
1. I walked into the tax office with my p60 in hand.
2. I tell them that I've been charged too much tax for the year and I was on the wrong tax code.
3. Two weeks later a nice big check for £1100 arrives through the letterbox :)
I had been paying too much tax all year, so when it came to april I got it all back in one go and that's going to pay for a nice big HDTV and help towards a PS3/Xbox360.
