Hey Beanieman where did you get the current list of games that support tilt?

From sources, interviews, and developer comments.

Ah, alright then, great detective work and review. I would love to see the tilt function of the controller used in other upcoming titles as well. It is standard so there should be at least an option to use it on a lot of games that could use it effectively.

Thats more games then I thought that are confirmed for using the tilt. Its good that some developers are going to use it.

It's allegedly easy to implement, and since it was announced at E3, 6 months before ps3's launch, I could see a lot of teams finding ways to include it in their games effectively some way or another.

You know since we heard about the tilt, i've been playing some of my games as if there were tilt controls and ive quite enjoyed it!! Yes I know i'm crazy.

If your going to do this I recommend:
- Zone of the Enders 2 (Works the best by far)
- DMC (once i thought how to use it, it became natural)
- Tekken (So much potential)
- Basically any FPS

I'm really looking forward to see what developers can do with this feature, I'd imagine that some games and developers will implement it better than others. I'm looking forward to it being implemented in MGS4 and hopefully Hideo Kojima will be able to reproduce that feeling I got whenever I applied the Dual Shock to my arm in order to heal it. ;)

Remember, it's more than just tilt but also acceleration. It can detect the controller moving forwards, backwards, up, down, and crossways.

I think the tilt could be really fun, but at the same time if there is a delay between the movement of the controler and what happens on the screen I don't think it will become as commonly used as the normal control pad. In a lot of games when you are in certain situations you need fast acting controls. If there is even a second or so of delay that could cause significant problems in many games.

I hope that gets worked out soon, because apparently in Warhawk that was a factor that players had to deal with. Personally, I hope that every game that uses the tilt/acceleration will also offer the same functions with the normal control buttons.

It's supposed to be as responsive as the analogue sticks.

Yeah I thought the people who played warhwawk said that they needed to turn the sensitivty down a notch...I don't think it's a delayed response. That's sort of the point of the controller...

Fats

I'm sure that they will include the option of turning down the sensitivity in all games that use the Tilt feature.

Omnicloud,

I heard the EXACT OPPOSITE. I heard that there is a delay of a second beween movements.

EDIT:

Ok. I figured it out. The sensititive was very high in that a small movement could make a large difference on the screen. But the RESPONSE time between moving the controller and seeing the response was about a second or so.

Well the developers had like what, 5 minutes to implement the tilting at E3? lol So the quality of it shouldn't be judged from E3 although most said it was pretty good.

That's if the problem is in the software. If the response time of the hardware itself has a second or so of lag then they won't be able to fix that. However, I don't think Sony would build a motion sensing device that would have any noticable ammount of lag. It would just be a waste of money on an already expensive console.

Don't worry about lack of quality in Sony consoles mate. :)

(Although my PS2 DVD drive is pretty unstable...)

There will be no delay between the slave and master connection[blutooth].
It running at a very high bandwidth.

Besides, if it was delayed by a whole second, it would would make the tilt useless! I really, doubt that there'll be any delay higher than a few milliseconds. If there is, it should be affecting the normal controls as well, and I've heard no reports of that happening.

BTW: I've only heard very few people talk of this delay in Warhawk, so I suppose one of the demo stands were faulty, and got replaced overnight.

I forget where, but i watched a video of someone playing warhawk. The screen reflected exactly how he was tilting instantly. There was no delay at all that i could see, and that was months ago.

I think there is a slight delay in Warhawk, but that delay is inherent to flight games, not the control......

I think baseball games would be perfect for tilt, not normal batting and feilding. But bunting, that would be great with tilt.

Seph,

Too small a news, no? There are already way too many threads crowded on the 1st page. Don't wanna throw another one out there for this. Maybe we'll officially hear about it soon.

Sorry if it was derailing the thread. my bad :)

Thats exactly what I thought when i saw the warhawk video.
I think everyone thinks it's a delay/lag because they think if for example you turn the controller by 180° the plane should also turn by 180° instantly, and since it doesn't they think it's a lag.
I think you can see it that way: with the controller you don't controll the plane directly but the steering of the plane, so it's just physicaly realistic that it doesn't respond instantly (in case of a plane).

Yeah. The plane responds like a real plane would. It's not very realistic if you can just turn your controller 360, and expect the plane to do a barrel roll.

Yoshaw: Well, in my eyes, this is the same as an official announcement, so I'd post that on the front page if I were you.
