Circuit City paper says it's coming out Friday of this week. I talked to my dad about getting it and he says he'll think about it... sucks to not have a job...
I really really want this. This is the only game I plan on buying for a long time.
Who else is going to get it?
I plan to, but it all depends on whether or not I get the new job I applied for.

i applied there too, but it wasnt open when i applied (it was still getting put together) so i turned in my app to babbages and he said he would fax it to the right people, but he didnt. so i called the manager of the new store to check on my app and he said he never got it and he would have them fax it to him ASAP. guess what! the bastards told me that he got it! so i beleived them, now they are open and not hiring anymore, so i have to go plead for my job at the theatre back because it fucking SUCKS ASS not to have a job
I dont really care much for stealth games unless there is action in it. Splinter Cell was just sneaking around mostly, but I guess the gameplay could change a little bit in the second one.

Are all 3 systems going to be on the same servers like FFXI is for PC and PS2...if not, I doubt the Gamecube servers (If any..) would have much people on it.

I got the PC multiplayer demo, and when I was finally able to join and play a game, the game fucking rocks. I don't like using a kb/mouse for this type of game though so I'll be picking up the Xbox version soon hopefully.

As for other questions, you have to be 16 for GameStop / EBGames / etc. They pay you like shit, barely above minimum wage. The discount is 20% off of everything except new systems, and two weekends a year you get 30% off. But yeah, I'm so glad I got a job lifeguarding after that shit - much better pay, more hours, better work environment, etc. Plus my GameStop was full of homosexual employees, except a few of us - I had no problem with it, it was just..... strange.... because I think the manager didn't like us because we weren't gay. Hopefully if you get a job it'll be for a cool manager, because they seem to either be really cool or total douche bags. I had a total douche bag.

Im sure the GC version is offline. It would save them money, and its prolly about 90% likely that it would not be online for GCN.

Okay I played the first level in single player and it was AWESOME. I got to try out the SWAT turn and other moves...
Then I went online, and that was fun too. I was hoping the online play to be a bit less fast... it seems too fast paced for Splinter Cell. The spies are a bit faster than Sam Fisher and a bit more acrobatic... as in when Sam rolls, the spies jump and roll. I want to play it more though before I make a final judgement on the online play.
The single player is heaven, though.
Being a merc in online play is the same as Rainbow Six so if you have practiced RS3, way before this game came out, then you will probably make a good merc.
I was really looking forward to the grabbing a merc and being able to taunt him and shit... I've grabbed a few mercs but they don't talk much... here's the most I got out of one.
I grab the merc.
Me: Hey Baby, how you doin?
....
....
....
...
...
Mercenary: Damn.
....
...
Then I choked the silent bastard to death. After I get some work done, I'ma go play some more...

I have heard that the main point in the multiplayer is to communicate with your other spy or merc but thats not what happens because of casual gamers. They turn it into an all out deathmatch, dont talk, and ruin the game. That is what is shying me from this game because i want to be able to play correctly without having to play with my friends who wont fuck it up.

You learn to like the multiplayer once you get better at it I guess. At first it's REALLY hard cause you're not used to human NPCs....
This is mostly a bump... for anyone else that gets the game.
For anyone that has it, do you have any multiplayer strategies?

Fucking sucks if you don't dude. I got a switch so I can boot to MS dash and evox dash. I want to change it to avalaunch and run linux on it so I cna run the net on it! :p

that's right u go online your xbox serial is taken down if you have a chip that serial is blacklisted so no more live. This is an attempt to stop online cheating which i'm glad to say xbox live must be one of the most clean online environments.
