My eyes can hardly keep up with the road ahead, it reminds me of Return of the Jedi when they speed through the forest on the air bikes

WRC is totally the king of all auto sports out there. You have to be half insane to drive them. Especially in 80's things were brutal when the B-group was still around. Drives died like flies.. and audience too. I was watching rally of Finland few weeks ago. It was insane! The speed on the gravel roads and the amount of engine roaring is amazing!
Finnish drives are the elite in WRC. Loeb is amazing too.

Here's a videoclip which shows the nature of rally in the 80's: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ve0VfuBx1tI

That dude is legend around here.

Even the fastest WRC of today were no match for the Group B cars of the 80's. Awesome Group B tribute video http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8816710549784410764

Twin Charged Lancia Delta > Evo/Sti

I'm not sure who (fifth gear i wanna say) but they did a test of an Audi Quattro and a new Evo. Besides not being as powerful, the Audi pwned it on everything else

That makes me want to go and play a rally sport game on my 360 right now. But damn thats cool to watch. Its crazy that everyone just stands on the side so close to the road.

The climb dance is the Pike's Peak Hill climb race in Colorado. Every year we go up to the UP (michigan's upper penninsula for you non-michigan people) for the Lake Superior Rally, and we get really close to the cars that drive by

you have to be pretty careful, don't you? coolant boils over pretty easily in the low pressure up there, and the engine doesn't get a whole lot of air...arent there checks on the way up and down? an australian car magazine (wheels) did a test in a 300C last year - by the time they got up there the coolant was boiling, and the engine was very obviously down a fair bit of horsepower...

My favorite Group B Rally car is probably the Peugeot 205 T16 Evo II. But I am very partial to the Lancia Delta S4 as well.

WRC drivers in general are probably the best drivers in the world when it comes to skill considering everything they go through. They always need to make sure they know a lot about their car with all the repairs that go on.
