Because of MTV!

Check out the winners for the VMA's.

Video of the Year: Panic at the Disco
- Why the fuck are they even a nominee?

Best Group Video: All American Rejects
- Yay another emoish band.

Best Rock Video: AFI
- They are not even rock, wtf. Emo again. All the nominees are emo bands too except for RHCP

Viewers Choice: Fall Out Boy
- I dont even need to explain why they do not deserve this. Well I guess they kind of do prove that MTV's viewers are pre-teens or just dont know good music.

What pisses me off even worse is all the kids that think that MTV is right. Emo bands suck ass. Normally you can find a good artist in any genre, like it or not. But emo is all a pity type of thing. That and now alot of kids dress up like Emo's and you have to play "guess the sex".

Now to top it all off in my computer classes (which last few years were only computer nerds or people that actually were cooL) I have a gay (If he's not, he missed a damn good opportunity) emo kid sitting beside me (well until I moved). Oh and instead of doing anything in class they just use the computers to get on myspace.

I'm just really pissed at emo's. Saddens me what the 'scene' is turning into and the metal scene and true alternative rock (90's) is dying out.

HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME, I'VE MADE MY MISTAKES, I'M SICK OF THIS LIFE, etc. :barf:

It sucks worse when you go to a high school full of impressionable idiots.

All scenes are the same.
They blossom, they wither, they leave just a stem.
A new style of music is played.
There are people in it for passion.
There are people in it for fashion.
A new stereotype is made.
And it's taken too seriously in the end.
It's just a name game.

That was not very good writing.

That was brilliant writing, Boggy. It sounded like a song.
I can imagine it now: "people in it for passion... people in it for fashion... yeah..."

Anyway, I don't think that's why there are so many emo… uhh... people (I don’t like to say emo kids; it’s a stupid phrase). I think you could say it's because there are so many emo people that those bands and songs won.
But who cares? It's not as if any good songs would have made it anyway. For the most part popular music is horrible these days.

Guess the sex is a fun game. Its challenging, but yet so easy.

I hate emo kids. They have no taste in music. Nor know anything about rock. "ermmm.... who's slayer?" "who's metallica?" "get out of my camp NOW!"

MCR had a go at the daily mail. This article is why:

I hate seeing shops who are picking up on the whole 'emo scene', and stocking shit clothes and wristbands and ties n shit.
It was the exact same when Avril Laaaveeenee came out. Everyone went about bought a tie and a pair of black 3 quater lenghts and wanted to play guitar and skate and be tom boy-ish with long hair and lots of eyeliner.
It's people who can't be origional, who have to be a certain thing in somone's eyes to feel good about themselves.
I hate people who label themselves or others. It's just fucking sad. No one is differnt anymore, everyone depends on the latest 'cool' band to get their fashion ideas or whatever.
They know nothing about music, and really I don't even think they give a shit about any other genre of music, only the one that is big at the time.
I even start to dislike a band if it's big. I got pissed more and more people started liking Muse, and I liked them a little less. I would like bands like Panic! All American Rejects, or even The Lost Prophets etc if they wern't so fricking popular

It's a good thing I have curly hair, or else I'd have a Beatles haircut.

Just kind of irks me that none of the artists that deserve credit ever get it. They dont even get nominated. I guess its just like G4's gaming awards or whatever were EA wins everything and its a total shitfest. But too ALOT of people watch that shit and believe it to be true.

And then one day, people find out that music taste is subjective.

I can't have respect for Metallica ever since the whole "Blame Napster For No one buying our Shit records" thingy.

AFI's older stuff is better, when it's just high energy guitar work/singing, not as much screaming and no weird quiet bits where Davey screams/whispers random shit.

I'll still jam their older tracks from time to time. They're a hell of a lot of fun to play on guitar, especially the solos. However, Tool FTW.

Oh, AFI are so satisfying to play. Until I'm good enough to play The Black Mages (those who fight further, if you can play it I worship you) they are the best to learn.
