Never noticed it being slow, but yes its funny as hell. The jokes make me lol. when the professor went skiing and hermes said "look at the professor go!" and he did all those tricks and it zoomed in on his face and he was asleep. lmmfao, then later on he skied right into the lodge and he had a medal and a number from a ski competition on and he woke up and was like wha? funniest shit ever.

The Simpsons and Futurama= Comedy.
Family Guy = Fuck you you boring pieces of shits. Man I hate this show SO much.
But anyway, lovely to see Futurama back! Although some jokes are a bit "wtf?" kinda lame.

futurama also has some very touching moments, mostly dealing with fry and leela but there's others like fry's dog waiting for him until it dies. it's a tough balance between tragedy and comedy and i think it's nice that for once something tried to walk the line.
plus, leela doesn't deserve fry.
Whilst reading reader reviews for Eraserhead on Amazon, I recall something about Charlie Chaplin on this subject.
The original quote was this,
"Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot."
Which probably lead to what I read being this,
"Charlie Chaplin once observed that if you exaggerate any human hardship enough it becomes funny."
That being true, I imagine it works in reverse too.
In that if you understate comedy enough, it becomes tragedy.
Well maybe.
I can't remember why I wanted to say this all those hours ago.
Oh well.
And no, she doesn't.
But I hope for change.

I love how there is a large story above the singular eps .
I was really hoping to see where it was going with Nibbler helping fry out trying to get leela and his desitany
