So I was reading through the latest EGM, which is pretty uneventful, and I turned to the back to try and find Sean Babys latest article. I saw the NEXT MONTH ISSUE, and decided to take a gander, and found something interesting.
The mag focuses on Gears of War, and then goes on to talk about an interview with some guy who was so good at Tony Hawk blah blah, and then says they are going to give progress reports for the games that you will be playing on Day One of PS3/Wii launch... which they say includes Warhawk, Wii Sports, Heavenly Sword, and Metroid Prime.
I thought Heavenly Sword was delayed until next year. Is this an error on EGM's part?
Good news is that there is going to be new previews of Lair and Warhawk in less than 30 days! (although I'm sure there will be plenty at TGS) :cloud9:

Lair and Warhawk are going to be jawsome. After seeing how Resistance has basically gone from a solid shooter at E3 to an ultra polished, ambitious mad launch title. I can't wait to see a new build of Warhawk.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v500/EvilTaru/gladtomeetya.gif

In many instances these magazine editors don't have a clue...
Perhaps Sony has a launch surprise in store with HS, but I highly doubt it.
Just sounds like a mistake, plain and simple...

I think it's just lumping all the 'launch' titles together, and coming up with a catchy theme for the next issue. I regularly hassle Marco about their launch date plans, and he's always pretty coy about it. I personally don't think it's coming out at launch, and frankly I think they might as well delay it a little bit more as it would make a great European launch title to go along with that event.
BUT... Ninja Theory does work very closely with SCEE, so at the same time it wouldn't be out of the question for Sony to tap Ninja Theory on the shoulder to move it up to launch if things are otherwise going well.
...we'll find out at TGS is the strong feeling I get, but if I had to guess right now, I'd say HS won't be a launch title.

Heaveny Sword in my opinion has tooooo much potential to be rushed along. If they need a few more months I hope they take it and don't let anyone rush them to make the launch of the console.

From seeing Marco's posts on B3D, he's always coy :)
HS has supposedly to be delayed to '07, which I assume is going to coincide with the Euro release.
I really don't think with a game like Heavenly Sword, SCEE will ask them to release early. Consoles will sell out no matter what they put on the shelves (look at the PS2 launch) so I think they'd rather have a KILLER game that will sell a million copies when it launches in the spring, as opposed to an unfinished game this Winter.
I just thought it was strange to see.

Well initially Ninja Theory announced the game for a december release before last E3.
After E3 Sony wanted them to launch the game for the launch but They did n t have enough time, So they pushed back to early february/ march 2007 for a release date before the fiscal hier ( in japan).
Now you never know , the devs are advancing really quickly and you know the evolution of the games we saw so maybe they could finish the game ealrier than they predicted.

LOL, well Marco isn't always coy - you just have to catch him at the right times! :smoke:
But anyway yeah, I'm really willing to stake a wager on March 07 to coincide with the Euro launch - and with the announcement that HS will be at TGS, I'm hoping that clarification will be had in that regard.
