For the non-techies in here, this means that the PS3 is safe to use, and ready for operation. It also means that at least one PS3 of each model is completed, since that what they seem to be testing.

deserves it's own discussion anyway, since it's in an off topic thread.

Agreed with Frosty, continue discussion

Nothing to discuss.
Just good to know it won't blow up lol

By the way- Is it always a GOLDEN approval? Or does it depend on the state of the product?

It really means that you will be able to get a signal on your cell phone.

It lists the CPU clock frequency at 3.2GHz and from this diagram below, indicates an AC power cable connecting to the unit

The PSU has always been internal anyway.

Yeah, but nice to have it confirmed. We never knew about the 360's external PSU until someone working in a gamestore leaked photos of the demo unit.

Well I guess we can throw the 4ghz notion out the window. If the FCC tested it then this has to be the final model ..no? If a revision is made would a retest be necessary?

VG: You never know. As far as we know, it might not have been the final unit.

VG: You never know. As far as we know, it might not have been the final unit.If you want to put it that way, yeah. But then it wouldn't make much sense that it is bigger now.

IN one of the graphics it says : Blue touth and Wifi
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v665/snowcrash007/51976.jpg

Don't you find something wierd ? those two can't work together....If you wanna play with a controller with blue tooth you can't at the same time using internet with wifi ?

I don't see that as being the case. It would render wireless online play useless, and not everyone can run cat5 to their living room.

Don't you find something wierd ? those two can't work together....If you wanna play with a controller with blue tooth you can't at the same time using internet with wifi ?Since when? Just because they use the same frequency? They're two very different specifications. Besides, PS3 has had Bluetooth controllers and WiFi networking since the beginning, and I believe that Wii has Bluetooth controllers and WiFi networking as well.

It does say they won't be transmitting simultaniously on the report.

It does say they won't be transmitting simultaniously on the report.Well, as far as I know, Bluetooth networking will be receiving input data from the controller most of the time.
