She isn't the first one to be equipped with that prosthetic, there was some guy who had one for each arm.

There was a guy in Australia that had a prostetic hand that he had partial control of, but was in that process of gaining complete control...and that was a few years ago.
Some day people will have the option to have their limbs removed and replaced with more durable parts.
