Very nice scans!

I can't discern whether or not that's realtime or pre-rendered.

Would you like to LINK me to it, rather than just mention it?

And wouldn't it have been better off to just put a link up in the first place?

thx folks...in the article they say the graphics still need sum improvements.

Edit: The pics are from the Xbox 360 version of the game.

Your edit had me dying. [ Of laughter. ]

After discovering those shots were from the Xbox 360. Ahh.. :)

I loved Stuntman (in fact I am re-playing it now trying to get 100% on every level) but these screens look...I don't know, like a different game.
Not happy at the moment.

And THQ!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! :(
THQ = A small EA.

I actually enjoyed the first game. Except of course for that loading. So here's hoping the sequel is as good if not better than the first one (Driv3r?) in terms of gameplay and hope they make good use of PS3's HDD.

Its a THQ game, don't expect different graphics from different versions of the same game.

Also wasn't Stuntman 1 PS2 exclusive?
I wonder why Atari dropped this game, they are much better publishers when compared to THQ. And Atari is nto a good publisher at all (their games are known for ridicilous amounts of bugs, look up: Boiling Point).

At least Reflections are still developing the game...I guess that's what counts the most but I have a bad feeling about THQ jumping abroad as I already said these screens do not look/feel like Stuntman to me.

Doesn't look good. Actually a little worse from where Motorstorm left off a long time ago with their E305 build.

Hopefully no one buys this this and rewards bad work from bad developers.

^ Scans from a magazine and your're already saying people should not buy the title... That's one of the dumbest things I have read today. :dazed:

^ Scans from a magazine and your're already saying people should not buy the title... That's one of the dumbest things I have read today. :dazed:You act like scans obscure the pic so much like we're looking at them under the bed with the lights off, with smoke and teargas pouring in from the next room. The scans are of good enough quality for me to determine that the graphics are shit. What, so how are you praising these graphics if they are "scans"?

How come Burnout and Def Jam 3 look great despite the fact that the scans are of the same quality? Cause those graphics were great from the start?

And why are we supposed to get excited about every single game that comes out for the PS3? Stuntman was always average at best and crappy at worst. You're getting to be like the Wii fools that hype every GC port coming out, or the Xbox fanboys that thought every launch title last year already beat out the PS3's lifespan.

Jeez you apologists are predictable. Are you really that fanboyish and blind? :duh:

It doesn't have anything to do with the images being 'obscured'.

You can't just write off a game based off of magazine scans, are more to the point, you can't write off a game based on graphics. I understand the game may have a track record of being mediocre, but there's always room for improvement.

Pffrt. And you have the nerve to claim Yoshaw is a bad poster.

Hey, Undercover Cop. I think your cover has been blown. You're just a bitter troll. ;)

UC, I found your response amusing, thanks for the laugh... ;)
Regardless of the quality of the pics, the title is still under development and it's ridiculous to treat the pics as a final product. (good or bad)

Honestly, I could care less about this title, but I'm tired of reading your inflammatory remarks regarding all PS3 news. There's a distinct difference between objectively discussing news and having a bias agenda. I refuse to derail this thread with off topic bickering and I'm sure the moderators will properly address your forum behavior. Peace

I have to disagree with you, Undercover. Katamari Damacy isn't great graphically neither, but the gameplay turned out great. I don't think it's fair at all to base a title solely on graphics. Heck, I've played titles with jaw dropping graphics and extremely poor gameplay and vice-versa. So to me, this isn't justification at all - if it were, the Xbox would have blown right pass the PS2 as well as other console in its same position.

But that's just it: I said the title should be avoided because the devs have a poor track record AND the last Stuntman game was crap. They bring nothing new to the table.

Everything that came after that (the talk about the graphics) was someone running damage control, saying that I can't judge that the graphics are bad since I was looking at scans. If that was the case, how could anyone say they consider the graphics to be good, hmmm? How come he didn't jump into the thread berating them for using scans as any sort of indication?

All I did was prove him wrong.

With these scans, it's obvious they brought no upgrade to graphics. Depending on the genre, graphics ARE a good indication of the production value. They didn't even do that (and yet they are still gonna charge $60 for "next gen".

Based on all this, I can safely say that this title is a piece of crap and nobody should waste their life on this. But of course you ignored all this and just posted that I dismissed the game SOLELY based on graphics?

Undercover, the game isn't even finished. Why not wait and see what happens? I mean, if we were to go by track records, I guess I could easily use Bungie as one of them. Afterall, their record didn't become as great until they were bought out.

Bloody heck this forum is getting fucking worse, All that goes on is arguing, You cant see a game what isn't complete, crap, You need to see videos and GOOD Quality pics to actually see all the detail etc etc. Just Stfu!

I sure would like to argue with the head of THQ right now. They will probably turn this game into an annual crap-fest, EA style.

And Stuntman was probably on the top 10 list when it comes to original ideas. Watching the replay of your work and seeing it in the final trailer was a reward well worth anything. and creating your own Stunt Park....man that was awesome, and i don't usually even care for cars.
And the amount of variety in every stunt really was very satisfying.

Do you know what new features will be in the game or what the gameplay will be like? Or are those few scans the only thing you know about the game?
I'm thinking the latter in which case you did just write it off purely based on the graphics.

I really loved the first game, but that 2nd to last level where the helicopter is chasing you was the most frustrating part of any game I've ever played. I would like to think I'm quite good at driving games but the strict time limit in that level was insane. The loading time between restarts didn't help either, but after about 50 attempts I finally did it.

I'd like to see them include the director mode from driver, so that we can make our own movie trailers once we comlete each level.

...like I said, this is the Xbox 360 version of the game. The Playzone says the graphics need sum improvements. According to the Playzone it´s out in summer 07.

Btw: I liked the first Stuntman for PS2. It got 86% in the Playzone a few years ago and wuz hella fun to play...ok there were sum graphical issues like clipping and slowdowns in some missions but I gave a fuck about that because of the innovative gameplay and the awesome damage system which they used in Driv3r btw. The interesting job of a stuntman mixed with sum good ol trial and error gameplay - pure addiction.

And yeah I like the graphics I see on the scans cuz there´s no comparable game on the market which looks better.

I remember Stuntman being the very first announced title for PS3. I think it was around the time the first was releasing, they said they'll be making one for PS3. after that, I remember SH being the next one announced way back when.

I didn't play the first game, and although that might be an indication of how good or bad this game might be, I believe with 'next-gen' development, I can give almost any title the benifit of th doubt. I want to see how MK looks and plays on PS3 even though like its former sequels, I will most likely not get near it. still, I am curious from a technical point of view. that, and I want to see which teams improve the best with a new transition.
