Every year at work i do some sort of outfit for halloween that is current to some thing that i think is cool. Last year was The Hulk which i pulled off rather well dispite being called Shrek a few times.
This year with the inpending new system and Zelda game ive opted to go as Link, but im have some trouble concept wise with how to make it look close to what he does in LOZ:TP.
The sword and sheild are posing most of the issue, and with all my searching i cant find a decent image of his sheild and sword ingame. I need a few from many angels to try to make it look some what like it.
Any ideas would be welcome.

Take a look at that, might be helpful for the sword.

I've noticed over the years that what looks cool on a character in a game doesn't look so great on a real person. I love Link, but I haven't yet seen a person dressed up as Link that didn't look completely retarded. Good luck with it, though. I really can't imagine how to recommend approaching the outfit, but I do recall seeing a Master Sword available on Ebay.
*hunts for it*
Here's one:

Here's another by a different seller:

Another, though by the same seller as the first link:

I guess that's enough Master Sword links. I guess the costume could be stitched together with some green and white materials, but it's the shield that I'm most at a loss on. I guess one could just cut it out of cardboard and paint it up, but that would look like crap.
Here's a picture I found with a quick Google search, and the costume looks pretty solid, but as I said before it looks kinda goofy on a real person.

The twilight princess version is better.
God dammit, is that a dude or a chick?! Actually looking at the knees and nose, and I can't seem to find an adam's apple, plus I saw a thing where they reffered to 'it' as she....
But with zero tits and the shoulders looking broad...
Maybe it's a transexual? Female to male?

That's probably one of the better Link costumes I've seen. Tunic needs to be made of a better material though. A darker green.

Thanks for the help so far my search for a sword has been ruined since i talked to my boss and i cant have a real sword. So i just need a sheild.
Also i plan for a more dark and worn look to the outfit, nothing clean and pressed i mean.

as exciting as Zelda TP launch is, i'd say the Wii launch is more exciting. that being said you should just make a Wii Remote costume.
but if you still want to stick with a more complicated Link costume, i'd say model it off the Twilight Princess version. it has a more earthy look to it.

i dont think you should be zelda for halloween.
Go as a goblin or ghoul instead.

Don't dress up as Link, you'll look like a fag.
Protect your pride! Don't cosplay!
