I recently had to reset all of my Internet Options to the default mode, and now animated GIFs will not play. I know there is an option, but I can't for the life of me find it. I'm running Internet Explorer on a Sony Vaio, but the specifications aren't really relevant at all, I hope you'll pardon me not listing them.

I know it's really easy, I just can't find that damn button.

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab

it's under the Multimedia part and the option is "Play animations in web pages"

Well I'm pretty sure thats it anyway.. I don't use IE.

I checked his UA string and he is on XP with 6.0.

Whenever something stops animating for me, I right click > view image, then refresh.

I'm sorry Nuke, but I gotta bump this, this problem is really bugging me. This time I'll put the required information.

OS: Windows XP (Home Edition I suppose) Version 2002, Service Pack 1
Browser: IE 6.0, as Bowser said
Pentium 4 CPU with 2.4GHz
480MB RAM

I was having trouble connecting to the internet, and the Help line had me reset all of my internet settings to the default. After everything was over with, I noticed that GIFs were not animating at all, even when I opened them in their own browser. The "Display Animations in Web Pages" button is checked, so I really have no idea why it's doing this.

I have also recently installed Zone Alarm and tweaked some settings, but I doubt that has anything to do with it.
