David Jaffe is no longer working on the PSP game that was supposed to make you burst into tears. "That game is- for the moment- on the shelf," said the typically outspoken developer in his blog. "The core reason is that it was very ambitious and so was/is WarHawk. The same developer is making both games ... so Scott (head of Incog) and I said: **** it. We'll do HL later...maybe."
Instead of heading back to Kratos, however, Jaffe has dived head first into a PlayStation 3 game, with apparent similarities to Twisted Metal and Bomberman. The game hasn't been officially announced yet, though Jaffe estimates a release date sometime between November and January -- a surprise launch game, perhaps? His comments don't seem to put it out of the question.

I get it!!! He's working on Motorstorm.
Motorstorm has Twisted Metal like fighting with eachother and Bomberman like explosions. So this is probably it. No wonder it keep getting refined and gorgeous with each new build. Jaffe's working on it dudes!

Start working on God of War I say...No one is really expecting anything from the series in 07 since GoW2 will debut on PS2. I hope he begins working on it now-while attending to the other projects as well. But I think jumping to a new platform will be big-we'll see how DMC4 reinvents the genre first tho...That's the game that I compare it to anyway...I don't see how GOW was ever directly compared to Zelda...they really play nothing alike..

Oh how I used to love me some TM back in the day. Probably my favorite game series back in my PSOne days. Twisted Metal Black wasn't bad either. I've rarely played bomberman before, though I still like it. An algamation of the two would be killer. Twisted Bomberman, anyone? Would be like an M tated Mario Kart Racing!
@OmniCloud: I see GoW more like Heavenly Sword than anything else. Maybe that's just me.

As long as it doesn't turn out to be like Bomberman Act Zero, I'll be happy. ~_~

Obviously it's going to be a strictly P'N'P downloadable title.
Whatever game it is, it looks like it will be a 1080p game. In his actual blog that the story links to, he writes:
What I can tell you is I was playing it at 1080p the other day out in Utah and damn man, that has totally convinced me to go out and buy a snazzy, high end television. It's night and freaking day, dude. Night and freaking day.

The truely next gen Bomberman game...
Bomberman: Twisted Metals
what's not to say he meant Nov. or Jan. of next year?
never mind, I just read his blog. he says 'this Holiday'.
who thought that around 50 days from launch, Sony still has some 1st party surprises for the launch window?

^^^^ Yeah hopefully this oct event will put the nail in the coffin, online detail, and more surprises hopefully..I think Sony didn't show too many things about PS3 at TGS. Games are coming along nicely, but I think the October event will be interesting mainly because I guess they wouldn't want to make all the announcements two months before launch and before Microsoft's event next week. Whatever good announcements there could be done after that and before launch will be more effective then than at TGS.

and that's another thing: is an Oct. event official announced? I don't want any speculations at this time. from now on, I am going sober (facts and straight announcements only).

^I think it's official. Many devs said the same thing.
I'm a little sad to hear that HL has stopped, it sounded like a great concept. Hopefully, he'll complete the game later.
I just don't want to repeat the vapor events of past times.
my heart isn't as strong as it used to be.....

Z, You raised a good point. We haven't shared the kaz hirai video on the boards yet. I'll do it asap.
The October event is confirmed! Rest easy it'll appear :) I'm uploading the Army of Two trailer now. Gimme a few hours and I'll cut the Kaz Hirai speech and upload it for everyone so it gets clear once n for all.

my heart isn't as strong as it used to be.....I feel you, man. However, I'm sure this event will happen mainly because the launch is right there and because I believe TGS was not very substantial since they're probably keeping a number of surprises for the October event that wouldn't have had the same impact two months before release and before the current Xbox event.
