Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture?

They only have 8 of the 20 or so launch titles.

For shame IGN, for shame...

yes. its on IGN.

there is nothing wrong with that picture. considering that most of the titles that are considered "mature" havent had their boxarts revealed.

i mean we havent seen

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
Call of Duty 3
Far Cry: Vengeance
The Godfather
GT Pro Series
Madden NFL 07
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Need for Speed: Carbon
Prince of Persia
Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent

I agree to some extent, but remember, these are only the complete and final box arts. Red Steel and Zelda are mature titles, and hopefully will be as awesome as they both look, but Marvel Alliance has the comic-y feel of their origins, and Monkey Ball can be fun for any age. That said I do see your point. There will also be (at launch) Far Cry: Vengeance, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Madden 2007, Excite Truck, and Call of Duty 3 to help even it out.

They can only show what they know. It's not their fault Nickelodeon and Disney managed to reveal box art before the real publishers did. Besides, at least they put TP and RS first.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double AgentSince when are sports titles considered "mature"? I've been playing Madden since I was like 6 or 7.

well i left madden NFL and tiger woods golf in because of all the sporting titlesfor Wii, they are more likely to be picked up by the "mature" gamer because of the real world reference. its same with the racing games i left on the list. realistic racers more likely to appeal to that crowd.

i'm not actually saying the titles are mature. i'm just saying they are the ones that would appeal to that non-"kiddy" bunch.

Ah, makes sense.

If UbiSoft didn't worry about blood, it would've been Mature. The devs said that they omitted the blood (their emphasis was "gore") because they wanted the whole family to have fun with the game. They should've gone with blood toggle, as in most N64 games.

Look in the top paragraph for this sentence:

Although still incomplete -- there are nearly 30 launch window games planned for the holiday -- we've posted the first eight or so box arts, which should give viewers a very good idea of what to expect going forward.

Also, if you look under the images, it says:

We'll be continually updating this archive with more finalized box art as they become available. Be sure to keep checking back for the latest high-res images of every Wii launch title as we near its November 19 launch date.

Yeah, I'm glad they put the more mature games at the top. Hopefully, we'll get some more official box art soon, because, folks, these aren't cutting it! :(

I find it funny how the sword on the box is bloody, yet the game itself has no blood.

^ That's cause it's the same logo the game had when there was blood. Now there's not. Ubi was lazy and decided to leave the blood.
