Im proud of the cell but RSx is okay but please people dont dream to much that it is as pwerfull or more powerfull than the newest NVdia accelerators. They are more advance and has greater speed and RAM. Thats why CRysis can only run on high end graphic accelerators. 7900 up to 7950GTX are way to powerfull but PS3 has the Cell as advantage and lack of operating systems and applications.
Like you said, the RSX doesn't have to be as powerful as the 7900 up to 7950GTX because it's in a console, where they can take advantage of it, while those graphic cards in PCs can't be fully taken advantage of.
With the Cell helping with some graphical elements, and no OS and applications to worry about, the developers don't have to worry about the PS3 having a slightly weaker GPU (that's if it is slightly weaker, we still don't have all the numbers)

CPI who is a developer (and not some clueless fanboy) has just said RSX is comparable to a 7900GT on the last page!
So please quit posting crap and STFU!

That's nice to know that it compares to a 7900 GT. I have a X1900 GT in my rig right now, basically the ATI equivalent of the 7900 GT, and it is mighty powerful I may add. And imagine that kind of card in a closed box environment where software is made specifically to run great in that one system and I can see some damn awesome results.
I was playing Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (the demo) a few days ago, that game has some serious graphics in it with displacement mapping on some walls, super high resolution textures and some of the most beautiful shader effects on the PC yet. It's the most impressive thing I've seen running on my rig yet. Can't wait to see what the PS3 will be leading up to in 2, even 1 year.
Damn, knowing that the RSX is comparable to the 7900 GT is good news. In the worst case scenario that the cards are as far apart to be still called compareable is still not bad, because it will still produce graphics quite a bit better than the stuff I'll see running on my PC.

Whats your point, telling everyone to buy a PC CARD and put it in the the PS3.?
Thats the last reply you get from me.
agentorange does this in multiple forums, but luckily there is an easy fix.... the ignore feature.
Maybe we can start the ignore agentorange crusade

Ok, we let the thread go for four days now.
That's four days longer than I would have prefered, but I think for some, it was important to have another RSX possibilities thread to work out their hopes and dreams before the launch of the console. But it's run it's course.
