Now does it say something about new functionalities we didn't know about yet? Translators to the rescue :)

Nice find :) Looks like we're slowly knowing more and more about PS3's hardware and software, SO included.
Just for illustrative purposes: PS3 crossbar menu (not final yet) at Sony's headquarters (http://trailers.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_ps3_crossbar_demo_h264.wmv)

Just one question for them? What does setting my kyat do? Lol.

I'm still wondering where you make your supposed gamertag? In the network settings? Or do you register the machine via web browser at PlayStation site and create it there?
Although as the interface shown was not final it _might_ have some options missing :)

The background colour can be changed! =-o ;)
EDIT: if the theme colours are the same as in PSP, that means this picture was taken in October indeed :)

So it would appear that Sony has a Definite Plan for PS1/PS2-->PS3 Users
More Good NEWS! Maybe I should look at more Pics <_<.......>_>.........7_7:king:
not only the colors can be change, you can most definitly select your own custom backgrounds! that for me is very exciting. I can have kick-ass wallpapers of the hottest games I am playing at the time.
I wounder if they will even let you change themes. if not officially, homebrewers will let you- just as with PSP. :)
PS. this thread reminds me of last year's thread after E305 when we were talking about what could every new symbol to the PSP XMB shown as an example for PS3's interface mean. ;)

Excellent. I hope they release a firmware update which allows us to change the background. Everything is slowly coming together as the launch draws in.

These are all expected things.
The XMB is not supposed to be that exciting as it has already been used with the PSP and I don't know why people say "it remains a mystery" as you can get a pretty accurate idea of what each menu and sub-menu does from the use of it on PSP.

^^ I think it's a mystery because we still don't know how to do video chat, voice chat, text messaging etc...

I do. :)
Go to Friends List...Pick a friend> Press Triangle which will bring the right menu and then pick from there. :)
Easy as....well, XMB ;)

That friendlist font size and the avatr should be smaller, cause if u have more then lets say 10 folks on your friendlist it would look messy and unnatural
