I would suggest using an email address that sends a text message to your mobile phone. If you do this correctly you can receive the update even if you're away from your computer. If you're not sure how to do this go to your mobile provider's web site for instructions. Peace

^ I have a hook up to obtain a PS3, but as the saying goes "nothing is guaranteed in life", so I'm going to do everything in my power to ensure I get a console at launch. If all goes well I may end up with 3 consoles and will sell one on ebay and consider selling one to a UK member of the forums for retail price. Peace

I will be getting two...one for me, one for ebay which I hope to get 12-1500$ for, then get a decent 32 inch HDTV 720p, until the next holiday season, then a Beaut of a 50+ inch 8th gen Sony LCD.

That PS3 'sweepstakes' site has been up for months. I signed up quite a while ago, and recently started getting Gamestop spam sent to the address that I entered. Still waiting though.

That said, for those of you in Canada, here is Futureshop's PS3 pre-order page (http://www.futureshop.ca/marketing/ps3/05.asp?logon=&langid=EN)(empty at the moment)
Futureshop was bought out by Bestbuy a few years back, but are still semi-indemepndent. I can't find an equivelent page on Bestbuys Canadian or US web sites.
